Strengths:
Defense: Equipped with a shield leech, and retribution feedback shield system the Whetu does her best to keep herself in the fight. Coupled with a layered hull composition - this only adds to the ships capability of withstanding as much as damage as she can put out.
Range: As capable as the Whetu may be firing range is still an enemy. Having little in the way of short-range defenses or anti-starfighter. Many of her weapons are geared toward larger capital ships and thus smaller strike craft are more likely to get through and overwhelm her.
A part-time mining vessel, capable of full-time warfare.
The former Kirehe, now Whetu-class frigate has one of the newest weapons that Primo Victorian has to offer. The Bellona-type Mass Driver Cannon, a weapon that is sure to deliver a punch to enemy vessels. It is part of the new Sith-Mandalorian line of vessels made to serve those loyal Sith Empire, Mandalorian Clans. What she lacks in hangar space and fighters, she makes up for with defense.
A high defense rating enables the Whetu to stay in the fight longer than she normally would without it. This rating is based on her hull composition, and shields. Featuring both retribution feedback shield system, and a shield leech. The vessel also features an older model engine but one that allows her to slip by interdiction fields/systems.
Out of combat, the Whetu serves as a part-time mining vessel with eight small automated mineral extractors and various optics and mining scanners. Included are gravitic sensors and mass sensors that may help the Empire with more mundane tasks - tracking and charting spatial bodies.
