Where Valor Sleeps

Stepping out of the new luxury speeder Judah had gotten for his wife, he was greeted by the sights and sounds of his adopted homeworld, Ceto.Slightly salty air gusted through the streets, causing palm trees to sway and giving a cooling effect to the rather warm afternoon on the ocean world. Opening the back driver's door, Judah pulled his son out of the car restraints. The young boy could pass for the Galan verison of his father, having been graced with the famous Dashiell hair.

"Come on buddy, we got an errand to run." Locking up the speeder,Makai giggled as he was carried by father, the pair navigating the downtown shopping area of the island they resided on. Soon Judah found himself in a florist shop. Plants, flowers and baskets of all types greeted him as he entered the establishment. In the corner, the sales clerk was consulting a man who clearly had some apologizing to do to his significant other.

In no real rush, Judah looked around at the arrangements. Makai patted his shoulder before his pale iced-blue gaze caught some flowers. Reaching out from the safety of his father's grip, the boy immediately tried to bring the flower closer to his mouth, wanting to eat it. Nearly succeeding, Makai whimpered when Judah took it from his hands.

"Not food son." The clerk suddenly freed herself up when she noticed the boy trying to eat her arrangements. Looking flustered, she made her way over, inquiring about their visit.

"I need this bouquet of flowers sent to Kaeshana, at a hospital. I prefer to have it delivered within in a day." Judah glanced around, deciding he also needed to keep [member="Thessa Kai"] in his good graces. "Also a dozen red roses but I can deliver those personally."

---------

Within several hours the yellow and purple bouquet was delivered to Siobhan's room on Kaeshana. Attached was a card with a note.

Apologies we could not see you in person. Wishing you a speedy recovery, do get well soon. Here's to causing destruction in no time - Judah, Thessa & Makai Dashiell.

At the hospital, Tegaea’s reflections were interrupted by an attendant with a vast array of flowers.
Surprised, Tegaea read the note and smiled.
“Send a message back to the sender thanking him. I’ll take these in.”

Returning to the hospital room, Tegaea placed the bouquet on a side table. “It’s from Judah and family,” she explained.

Siobhan looked surprised, then a very big smile spread across her lips. She tried to reach out for the bouquet, though she gave up on the attempt when pain shot through her, but she was clearly happy. "Oh, they're beautiful. Please thank him nicely for me. That's sweet of them," she said happily.

Rianna shook her head at the words of the droid, but she could only echo the words of [member="Satara Hawk"], "I am of the same opinion as Satara I am glad to have been able to help" Rianna bowed slightly, she looked over at Siobhan and then to Tegaea, "long life to you both, should you need help again please do see me out"

She then stepped back excused herself and went in search of [member="Ordo"], perhaps they could take a few days off on the way home.

Having drank and ate their fill, Delila decided they should move on towards the hospital. On her walk over, the redhead was trying to figure out how to make her visit mercifully short. Hospitals weren't her thing. Especially when she was visiting a potentially dramatic and whiny patient. Sighing, a hand ran through her fiery tresses as the hospital shadowed her frame. Already it was terrible. It smelt like disinfectant and rotten flesh. Old women manned the front desks, directing folks here and there. She had to stop to get directions but was soon on the lift up to Sio's room.

The gleaming doors opened and she grumbled slightly under her breath, hanging a right. Past the rows and rows of rooms and she suddenly came upon Lady Kerrigans. Part of her was surprised there were no topless young women with rosepetals to throw at her feet in greeting. They must have not arrived quite yet. Good help was hard to find after all. Siobhan was laying in the bed, looking a little worse for wear. Then again, that wasn't so unusual. Yet something was...off....

"Did you explode your breasts off and get new ones? Dear Force, its like a damned mountain range in here."

Yes, this was Delila's greeting.

The pretty girls with rose petals to throw at Siobhan's feet would be there soon. Well, her nails needed some work as well! It had been ages since they had gotten a good polish.

But before she could receive worship from adoring servant girls - well, whether they were really adoring or just good actresses doing their job was another question - one of her favourite redheads had entered the room. Said redhead was alas terribly cold-hearted and would not indulge Siobhan's seemingly infinite craving for worship. Then again, Dells never got laid. That was probably the reason for her meanness. At least Siobhan thought so, which might say a bit about her.

"Nice to see you as well, Dells. You're such a sight for sore eyes!" For someone who was supposedly straight as an arrow Dells was really obsessed with her tits. Not that Siobhan minded the attention...but the woman was such a damn tease!

Tamara followed Delila and caught her comments. She raised an eyebrow. She's seen plenty of sickbed scenes before in her life, but nothing quite like this.
"You can feel the love from here," she said dryly. "Welcome back to the land of the living, Siobhan. I see that like a nexu you have nine lives...."

Delila was probably mean because she never got laid. Seemed like a good explanation as any. Judging by Tamara's reaction her comments were not sufficient for someone who had died or tried to die. No doubt Siobhan willed her heart to stop beating in order to gain sympathy and pity from the collected masses. Delila could easily see right through her ruse.

"You can feel the love, can't you? So glad we could all be assembled here together."

"Yes, it was nice of you to drop by, Dells," Siobhan said in a clear tone of 'yeah, your token visit is over. You can go now if you want to.' Contrary to what the redhead might be thinking she did not need her pity. Or want it. So Dells could leave and punch old ladies. Or whatever it was she did in her free time.

For a moment there was a flicker of something on Siobhan's face. She looked hurt but then the moment was gone and she turned her attention to Tamara, the time traveller/not time traveller. "Thanks, Tamara. Nice to see you're still up and about. I heard you brought the...Clan Mother here. Thank you very much for that." That was said in a warmer, friendlier tone.

Tamara nodded. "When I heard about your situation, I reached out to [member="Satara Hawk"]. I knew she was a healer, far better than I, and we know each other well." A hundred-thousand years acquaintance in literal terms, though in physical terms only a few months.

She looked across at Delila. Though a bit of a chaotic sort herself, Tamara liked to consider herself on the Good side of the ledger, and she didn't think Delila was being entirely fair. Of course, it wasn't her place to say, and it might be some sort of joke between the two.

"Well, I'm sure you want to get back to get some more rest. If you need anything, you know how to contact me."

Feeling another's hand on her in this weakened state had started her some but Satara quickly found its source in [member="Siobhan Kerrigan"] and offered a small smile while she silently let herself gather some strength. Once she felt ready, she responded with: "You're welcome. Take it easy for a bit, so you can recover yourself fully."

The presence of [member="Tamara"] and another female she did not know, [member="Delila Castillon"], made Satara turn her head to them. The ancient woman's note of having them know each other made Satara nod, without supplying any further explanation herself. It was a rather long story, one that would require them being here far too long and Satara still wasn't convinced it would be alright to share such information, unless Tamara was open to sharing it herself.

Once her travel companion had said her goodbyes, Satara released the edge of the table and centered herself on her own too feet, finding a bit of strength she had had lost in the process. "I will be going as well. I've left my Clan without supervision a little too long as it is," the Witch explained and offered a smile to Siobhan. "May Allya bless you and guide you through your journey." Her attention returned to Tamara, waiting for her to leave.

"Yes, perhaps we'll catch up again sometime soon."

Delila may be socially in-adept but could figure out this situation well enough. Apparently the drugs Siobhan was on had made her immune to humor. On the same hand though, Delila was more than a little pissed. The woman constantly tried to kill herself (Dells was thinking she had a suicide-by-Reaver type thing) and expected it not to grate on anyone's nerves! Already in an incredibly grumpy mood, the redhead left the hospital. It was time for her to go back to Etti IV and merely stay in her bubble.
