The location of the new Jedi Shadow Conservatory had finally been decided, though its existence remained closely guarded. Only a select few invitations were sent to individuals known to Braze as Jedi Shadows, or to those chosen for Jedi Shadow training. Each invitation was wrapped in layers of encryption and accompanied by a small trinket unique to its recipient.

The trinket accompanying each invitation was a small ring of curious make, far too deliberate in its construction to be mistaken for ornament alone upon careful inspection. Dark metal formed its body, and it felt weighty in the hand, its surface was etched with fine incisions that seemed almost decorative at first glance; slender lines, careful grooves, and tiny apertures cut with unnerving precision. Set within the piece was a muted stone, dusky and glass-smooth. Nothing about it announced its purpose outright, yet neither did it feel ceremonial. It had the air of a tool… or perhaps a key, though for what lock was far less certain. Some manner of cipher-piece, perhaps; a decoder ring fashioned with too much care to be trivial, and too much obscurity to be innocent.

None of the invitations contained the Conservatory's true coordinates, however. Instead, deciphering the first layer led each recipient toward an otherwise unremarkable waypoint. Their trinket served as proof that they belonged there…and as the key to whatever came next.

Each recipient would ultimately arrive at a location unique to their own invitation, scattered far enough apart that no two paths appeared connected. Yet each waypoint held the same arrangement: a shallow alcove cut deliberately into the surrounding stone, a smooth placard set within it, and a small battery-powered lantern resting nearby.

There were no real instructions waiting for them.... Only the inscription carved into the stone.
