Where Eagles Fly [Thurion]

Hyperspace
On Board the Oathkeeper
The Winter Eagle, Oathkeeper barreled through hyperspace. Only one day more and they would arrive to Corellia. After the events with the Taung and setting up of their new home, Coci had spent time thinking about returning home for a visit. She had spoke of her past to Thurion, something she had not done with anyone, even pushing it to the far corners of her mind. But Corellia is a large part of her, not only from the point of view of her heritage, but her nature.

For now however, she had work to do.

Sitting cross legged on the floor in one of the chambers on the ship, Coci meditated. Although the Taung was gone from her mind and destroyed, much residue of the experience remained. She had face a danger that made her question herself. Her strength of character and mind came under review, and so Coci sort to discover a guidance and will. This of course is a review only asked of herself, no one doubted her but her.

Coci sensed Thurion and Nina within the ship, their presence second nature to her now and drew on them both for a sense of calm and soothing. It was his love for Coci that pulled her through the events of the Taung, without him she doubted she could have made it back.

The Oathkeeper was not designed to be neither luxurious or very spacious, and every part had some practical use much like a smuggler's ship. There were only a few rooms, and only two of them were furnished to house people; Nina's bedroom/playroom and the Captain's quarters. Fortunately, neither Coci nor Thurion had any problem sharing a bed. In fact, it was preferred. The tight space meant they'd have to remain close to one another, which suited them perfectly.

Bare feet pattered through the hallway towards her father's room, and pale-blue eyes wide with childlike wonder gazed upon the sat Coci as the door slid open. She managed a faint smile, thinking she hadn't noticed her yet. Nina then proceeded to quietly make her way over to her, making little to no sound while doing so. For a moment, she just remained stood watching her meditate, wondering when she'd wake up. His father would go to sleep sitting down like this many times, and yet it was like he wasn't asleep at all.

After waiting patiently, she eventually reached out to pat Coci's shoulder. Her tiny hand then settled upon her cheek to speak to her. "Coci, daddy says we're there, now."

The nearing presence of Nina was like a gentle breeze dancing through the force. As she approached, Coci slowly relinquished the calm state, her eyes opened to the sight of an angelic face and the touch of a voice in her mind. Coci raised her hand and placed it as Nina did, cupping her tiny face, Can you take me to him?, she smiled. When we arrive to my home I want to show you something.

Coci stood now and reached out for Nina to take her hand so the little girl could guide her to Thurion. She knew where he was of course, his pulsing white light shone like the brightest star in her minds eyes. As they walked to find Thurion, she would look down to Nina beside her, a warmth in her heart ever present for her as she loves her and will do anything to protect her. Much as she will do for her father.

They would find Thurion in the galley, the scent of cooking wafted up the corridor as they approached which only served to insight violence within her stomach as it growled like a ravenous beast. Coci placed her hand over her stomach and laughed.

Before her stood the man, busy with pots, she watched him for a moment with a smile, his long blonde hair flicking around his face as he moved with speed. Her eyes could not help but wander over him, taking in all the pleasing aspects of him. His handsome face etched in concentration, his shoulders rippling with muscles as his arms stretched out and her mind went into a trance of a different nature. She could have stood there for hours.

Thurion was not someone who you would consider an excellent chef, or at least you wouldn't associate him with cooking. But now that he had the beginnings of a family to feed, he would do his best to improve his skills in such. He can't expect Coci to do all the cooking, after all, despite the fact that she's far superior in this department. They were engaged and would marry in the near future, so it's safe to assume there could be a few more tiny mouths to feed in a year or two. Until now it had only been him and Nina, both of which were not so picky in their choice of food.

His concentration had prevented him from noticing the appearance of Coci and Nina holding hands, watching him work up a light sweat upon his forehead. Nina was the first to break the silence, figuratively speaking. She walked up to her father and wrapped her arms around his leg, clinging to it. This made him forget about the self-induced pressure of cooking and take a deep breath as his large palm settled upon her head, smiling down at her. "Hello, little Snowflake", he said aloud. By now these re-occurring exchanging phrases did not require him to telepathically speak to her, as she'd learnt to listen to the tone in his voice. "And hello to you, my lady", he then said, looking over at Coci. "Dinner should be served soon... ish."

She smiled as she walked to the table and sat down, she beckoned for Nina to come join her, as they waited for the dinner to arrive. "I am famished .. It smells good", she said, as her stomach growled once more. He had prepared some breads which are placed on the table, Coci took some and placed it on a plate of Nina if she wanted any.

Taking some for herself, the cut it and buttered it, and took a large bite with audible groans of pleasure. "Hmmm that is soooooo goood", she said with a mouth full of food. She quickly jumped up and danced around Thurion to the cooler .. one jug of blue milk and a glass for Nina. Reaching around his body she flicked on the Caf machine to brew. "Sorry sorry excuse me", she grinned.

He could feel her brush up against him as she danced around him, and he couldn't help but feel she was teasing him on purpose. When she reached around his front to flip the switch on the Caf machine, he could swear her fingers were dangerously close to feel him up. Rather than put him off, it put a sly grin on his face, now aware of her hidden intentions. He grabbed her hand once she'd turned on the Caf machine and pulled her close to him, putting a hand around her waist. "You..." he said, rubbing his nose against hers. "...are distracting me in the best kind of way." He followed up his words with a kiss upon her lips.

After their little display of young love, they seated themselves at the table where Nina were sat delighting in the bread. Thurion then unveiled their meal in the form of potatoes and meat. The man enjoyed his meats, after all. He carved up a piece for Nina and put it on her plate before serving Coci. He then used his fork to mash the potatoes for her, all to make it easier for her to swallow. His eyes darted to Coci, and he couldn't help but see the mischief in her gaze.

"The meat is good", she said as their eyes met. She placed a cut piece in her mouth, it was just perfect as was the potatoes. Her eyes flicked over to the brewing Caf, it was ready so she got up to get some. Knowing Thurion does not drink the hot drinks, she would not ask. But she gathered a glass for him from the shelf for his blue milk and placed it beside him. She poured Nina and Thurion a glass before she saw to her brew.

The aroma always fills her senses and she delighted in the taste. Once the meal was completed, and the dirty plates washed and placed away. It was time to ready themselves to depart. The Oathkeeper touched down on a landing pad in Bindreg Hills, near to Coci's home. The House of Sinopi, dominated the landscape over a small village and still looked imposing although the family is no long ruling aristocracy. Which suited her fine. Although the old snobbery still remained in parts of her family, mainly the cousins that are of lesser birth.

Coci turned to see if Thurion and Nina are ready to walk up to the house. She felt strange being here and see the house just as she had left, she wondered if the old servants remained.

The scenery was picturesque, with the village living in the figurative shadow of House Sinopi. Nina was sat atop her father's broad shoulders and looked around her with wide eyes, wanting to take in every nook and cranny of the place. The two walked a few feet behind Coci as she showed them the way to her home. Again it astounded him how well her outfit hugged her curvaceous figure, with his eyes enjoying the view far more than they should considering they weren't looking at the scenery. Whenever Coci would turn her head to look back at them, Thurion would snap out of his stare and pretend like it's nothing only to settle upon her generous assets once again.

Once the three had made their way to the large building which had housed Coci's ancestors for many generations, Thurion put his hands around Nina's waist atop his shoulders and lifted her over his head and set her down on the ground before taking both her and his beloved by the hand. "After you, milady", he teased, even though the title held some truth to it. Within these walls the people would most likely actually call her such.

"I can sense you .. you know", she said with a smile over her shoulder. Their force bond telling her what was on his mind.

The House stood before her now, grand and proud, cold and dusty as she remembered it. She reached out her hands to both of them to take, as she would walk them up to the front door. It was strange to have to ring the bell to her old home, but she did and soon the door opened. It was not a face she knew .. a young girl dressed in servants clothes greeted them. Coci had warned them of their arrival and to make preparations for them to be comfortable.

"Lady Sinopi, welcome home", she young girl said as she moved aside for them to pass. Coci sucked in a deep breath, she had forgotten this part of it all, it never really sat well with her to have servants.

"Yes thank you", Coci only said as she walked into the main entrance. By now her eyes sort the familiar .. looking around the main area and remembering her childhood and early adult life. She turned back to Thurion and raised her arms to let them fall against her thighs.

"Here we are! ", she smiled.

The place held luxury neither Thurion or Nina had ever laid eyes on before, with both coming from poor backgrounds. The furniture was exquisite, and the interior design worthy of kings and queens. Huge paintings hanging on every wall, extravagant crystal chandeliers high above their heads... It was beautiful. But it was also very quiet, and very empty. Only a couple of servants were ever in the same room at a atime. It dawned upon both him and Nina that neither would prefer to live like this rather than how they lived now.

"This is where you grew up?" he asked, still amazed at the scale of it all. It was as he and Nina were both children, looking around them with wide, blue eyes and not daring to touch anything.

"Come with me", she asked gently as he guided them to the main room. "Yes this is my childhood home, I spent many days running the halls of this place", she moved to a large window and looked across the open fields. "In the days of the Corellian Empire, this house stood over the lands you see before you .. as far as your eyes can see. Now this house stands only this ground, which I prefer".

She turned to look at Thurion's face, "To be honest I don't know what to do with it, it is mine. I much prefer to live with you anywhere but here. I don't have bad memories of this place it is just not warm or a home".

Coci pointed to a painting on the wall behind them. "That seems like a life time ago now, and not one I care to return to. I am a Jedi and more importantly .. you life partner. I wanted you both to see where I came from. We will not stay long here but please do explore and enjoy it ... we can stay the night here and return .. home in the morning". She did not wish to stay longer then she needed.

She walked over to stand beside Thurion looking up at the painting. "I told you I had a Tiara", she grinned.

Thurion watched Coci and listened to her words, detailing her thoughts to him. This all seemed so different from how she is now; adventurous, yet always managing to remain calm and collected. Her face spoke of her past - days and years spent in this place she once called 'home'. The two lovers had been as different as could be growing up, yet here they were as equals in all things, now sharing the present and awaiting the future together. Fate could be a beautiful thing, sometimes.

She then showed him the painting of her younger self, hanging proudly upon the wall and as well-kept as if painted yesterday. Mouth slightly agape and eyes widened, he gazed upon it with awe, not only because of the beauty of the woman he loved but also because of the fine artistry. He snapped out of his stare when he heard Coci speak by his side. His hand reached around her back to settle upon her far hip and pulled her close to him. He turned towards her as their bodies embraced one another, now keeping his hand at her lower back. "You don't need a tiara to look beautiful", he told her, his free hand now beneath her chin just as he leaned in for a kiss upon her lips.

Her hands moved up his chest as he kissed her. They came to rest over his shoulders as their lips moved gently with each others. "You always make me feel beautiful .. just by the way you look at me", she whispered, not really understanding just how she had come to deserve his love.

Coci took in a deep breath and inhaled his presences, before placing her head against his firm chest. Her face turned back toward the window and she saw Nina there looking around the room at all the things that intrigued her. All the items in this room are placed with design, to look good and pleasing to the eye, it would explain Coci's eye for detail and for the finer things, her home on Voss would speak of this. But they do mean little to her as do the items here. Nothing in the room has any significance or importance save value. Her mind went back to her problem, what to do with this place. She could sell it of course, but what need does she have for so many credits? Donate them to the Order? that could be possible, but maybe there is a higher purpose she could put this place to good use.

She kept watching Nina and then an idea come to her and she smiled. She would tell Thurion of her plans later but for now they would enjoy their surroundings. Coci looked up into his face and smiled. She pulled away only to go to Nina and offer her hand to her to take.

On the lower floor and toward the back of the house is a room that Coci used to play in when the weather was inclement, a large room full of toys. As she opened the door to her surprise nothing had been removed, in fact it was exactly how she had left it. Still holding Nina's hand she spoke to her through telepathy. If you see anything you like . . it is yours to take. As Nina let go of her hand to explore, Coci turned to find Thurion.

Nina turned to look into Coci's eyes, a shy smile appearing on her face. She nodded once before letting go of her hand and stepping into the room. Other than being lavishy funished, it had complete shelves full of toys, prettier than any she'd ever seen - some of which she didn't know what they were, even. But she was not a greedy girl, and would not claim more toys than what she felt was right.

Her wide, blue eyes had settled upon a large toy box sitting by the far wall. With tiny steps she stepped towards it, and the closer she got to it the more it seemed to grow in size compared to herself. Standing next to it, it was as big as her. She looked back at her father, who immediately stepped forward to open it up for her. Flipping the lid open, the box held even more toys, but these seemed special in some way. Nina peeked over the edge and soon laid eyes upon the one thing she felt incapable of leaving behind.

It was a stuffed bear, worn out and slightly deteriorating from old age. She reached into the box to pick it up, almost falling into it in the process. With Thurion's help she fished it out and showed it to him. He smiled at her and then turned to Coci. "She'll settle for this one", he said. Nina turned around and walked up to her, hugging the bear against her chest. Her tiny hand settled upon Coci's. "What's his name?"

Coci crouched down as Nina took her hand once more. Holding a bear she had not seen in some time. She smiled into the girls eyes. "That is Monty .. he used to look after me when I was sad or lonely and would keep we company in my bed at night". She said out loud so Thurion would hear as well as directly to Nina's precious mind. "I think it is time he had someone special again don't you?", she said smiling more as she stood up and took Thurion's hand.

In the back ground they would hear the sound of a bell calling them to lunch. Coci's head turned knowing the call and pulled them both from the room. She would lead them to a large room, the dinner room. A wall completely covered in bay window on one side .. serving cupboards lined the other. The food prepared and placed in serving trays. A very long table sat in the middle of the room, laid out and waiting for them to take their seats.

At one end Thurion would be seat, the opposite Coci and Nina placed in the middle. She hide a smile as they took their respective positions as the servants fussed around them, place food on their plates and filling their glasses. They did the same for her of course and Coci just remained there until they finished, giving them a polite word of gratitude as they left. She looked up at Thurion in the distance and smiled more.

She stood up and took her plate and moved toward him, indicating to Nina to do the same. And they sat beside him to eat.

"You look as though you need company", she laughed.

The distance between the three sat at the table was, frankly, ludicrous. Hilarious, even. Fortunately Coci seemed to acknowledge the fact and moved to take a seat next to him, with little Nina following behind still holding her new friend in the form of Monty the Bear. He smiled at the two joining him, Nina on his right and Coci on his left. Before any of them had begun to eat he took them both by the hand. Without a word spoken between the three he placed a kiss upon either hand before letting go of them. Then they would eat.

The meal was very good, if a bit too posh for him and Nina. Either way, the dinner filled their tummies well enough as darkness began to fall outside. Nina would spend a bit more time in the playroom before showing signs of being tired, at which point her father would carry her upstairs to the rooms that had been prepared for their arrival at Coci's request. "Sleep well, my little Snowflake. Our room is just next to yours, so if you need us, we'll be there", he told her while tucking her into bed. It didn't take long for her to fall asleep, and before leaving Thurion placed a tender kiss upon her forehead, as well as giving Monty a quick peck on the cheek to her amusement.

After giving Coci a chance to say good night, the two shut the door behind them. "So... what now?" he asked, taking her hands in his.

She stopped a little down the long hall as they walked away from Nina's room. Coci let out a long sigh as she looked at him almost apologetically. Letting his hand go she leaned against the wall and smiled, not one of joy really to let him know she was fine. But she could sense he was not. Her eyes dropped to the floor for a moment and her brow knitted before looking up once more.

"I can see,.. I can sense you are not comfortable here. I know this is not something warm or inviting even, but it was part of me once and so has informed what I have become. I just wanted for you to see it, nothing more. I am sorry I should not have brought you here", she had a sense that maybe he was pulling away from her. Thinking maybe they are to different and have not much in common and lack an understanding of each others past. But this was way of bridging that gap.

"If you wish I will go and have the Oathkeeper prepared for take off as soon as possible", she said as she turned to walk down the hall. The only two things in the galaxy she truly care for, him and Nina and she did not want them to feel out of place.

Thurion just stood there listening to her words, but he did not seem to hear them. Rather than look concerned at her rambling paranoia he would very slowly put his arms around her, hands caressing her back and pulling her close without her seemingly noticing. He then cupped her cheek with one hand with the other at her lower back, and just as she'd finished voicing her concerns he pressed his lips against hers. Once it was over he whispered past her ear:

"You talk too much."

That was all he could say before his lips sought hers yet again, his body now pressing hers back against the closed door to the master bedroom. He reached around her back to open the door moments before picking her up off the floor into his arms and carry her over the threshold. Their kiss went uninterrupted throughout, and when they reached the huge king-sized bed he settled her down onto it.

[member="Thurion Heavenshield"]

How does he do this? How does he complete remove any doubts or fears that enter her mind. Her force aura burst with love the moment his lips found hers. He would feel the overwhelming sensation she expressed as the Galaxy simply vanish. Only in these arms does life matter, her she is safe.

As her hungry kiss sort him, she kicked the door to the bedroom shut with her foot. Her hand began to feverishly find his clothes to remove and once he had placed her on the bed, she grabbed him and placed him on his back. She began work on her own clothes to remove, but leave the job unfinished only to rip at his. She stood up and undid her trousers pulling them down only to realise in her haste she had forgotten to remove her boots.

"Damn", came the whispered word, as she hopped around trying to get them off.

With his back against the bed Thurion watched Coci tear and tug at his clothes, then hers, then his, then hers again. It was as if she was unable to decide upon who to undress first. When she encountered her troublemaking boots, Thurion sat up on the edge of the bed and calmy removed his shirt, exposing his muscular upper body, still somewhat riddled with scars from the torture he'd endured on Lorrd. At least they didn't cause him pain, anymore.

He got off the bed and moved to help her. Coming up behind her he embraced her, allowing his hands to roam freely across her front. "Don't move", he told her before moving to kneel down before her and undo her boots for her, placing them at the foot of the bed. Once they'd been dealt with, he slithered his way up her legs and began undoing her trousers, all while pushing her backwards against the bed.
