Private Where Do I Stand?

The NIO. Sergeant Omen Sergeant Omen had suggested that she get into contact with them again, if not but for Mandalore's sake. The two of them were helping to restore the planet, along with a slew of others. Mandalore had been razed so often lately that it was almost deemed uninhabitable....

But as she was no longer a part of the Eclipse Rebellion, Lori wasn't entirely certain if she had any standing or bearing of any sort with the NIO at all. When she was a part of the rebellion, she had sanctuary within NIO space in return for information on what the Eternal Empire was up to. But now that information was gone and so too her sanctuary.

Yet it wasn't as though she needed it. Lori had no enemies outside of Arken Dobson Arken Dobson , however he was sitting in a prison cell. Only Severus Dobson Severus Dobson could be a potential threat, but she had yet to come across him. There was a chance that she might not for some time.

Yet Arla gave Lori a glimmer of hope, for it seemed that she had learned of Lannis Morcus resurfacing. The man was sort of Lori's grandfather, by the way of kind of adopting her Mom. She knew him growing up as he had his own lands on Commenor and ruled his province, having a powerful standing in Commenor's government. Maybe she could talk to him and get some of the answers to her questions...

Arla sent the word off ahead to notify Morcus of their impending arrival on the Jaster's Delight. Shields would be up, but no weapons were armed as the two didn't want to set off any alarms with patrolling fleets in NIO space.

Hopefully he'd want to see her....

Lannis Morcus

Guest
Lannis had been occupied these last few weeks. He had recently pledged his loyalty and support to the Sovereign Imperator of the New Imperial Order, Rurik Fel Rurik Fel , bringing significant military assets once belonging to the former Core Imperial Confederation he'd spirited away in the chaos of it's collapse, hiding such in seclusion until the time was finally right. With these assets, he would prosecute the first major step in securing favour with his new master. He had volunteered to conduct peacekeeping operations to deal with rebellious Nightsister covens on the surface.

Morcus had been busy overseeing these efforts from the safety of his stealth modified Star Destroyer and old flagship, The Black Reach, when one of his lieutenants notified him that Loreena Arenais wanted to see her after all this time. A response was swiftly sent, extending his most sincere greetings to whom he considered an adopted granddaughter, inviting her to join him aboard his flagship where they might reunite and reconnect.

When her ship entered the system, Morcus was already waiting in the main hangar bay of the Black Reach, with much ceremony. His Inquisitorial Purge Troopers, obedient soldiers who had remained steadfast in their loyalty to him even after the Core Imperial Confederation's collapse, stood organized in formation within the hangar to welcome their master's esteemed guest.

"A Star Destroyer? Well...that's better than a planet, I suppose..." Yet the part of her that loved to find places to hide and escape underground wasn't so fond of the idea. Getting out of a Star Destroyer when they didn't want you too wasn't an easy feat.

However there was some inherent comfort in knowing that Lannis Morcus wouldn't try to hold her against her will. At least not the Morcus that she knew. But people tended to change and Lori hoped that he did not. Yet all of that was to be learned in time.

Upon arrival, Arla set the Jaster's Delight in the designated hanger bay, turning off the ship's engines and letting the system shut down. "I should come with you, Lori."

"I know, but you are needed here. I don't need them snooping on board. Morcus might be on our side, but that's not to say that we can trust everyone else on this vessel."

Arla gave her a small nod of understanding, before following Lori out of the cockpit and down to the door.

The young monarch was dressed in her Rebel Ops armour as opposed to anything formal. She carried no weapons minus a dagger in her left boot. The door slid open with a shot ramp lowering down to touch the hanger's flood with a soft 'thunk'. It was always a bit intimidating to see a bunch of soldiers standing in formation and today was no different. Yet Lori cast her gaze over to Morcus quickly and she put on a pleasant smile as she approached. "It's good to see you. Thank you for letting me drop by."

Arla stood at the foot of the ramp, arms folded across her chest as she eyed everyone in the hangerbay with a stern gaze.
