When the van comes around. (Yes, that is a Johnny Cash reference, but not really)

"I know of several. Some of whom I'm friendly with. But I'd rather hire you than have you capture or kill a future employer or employee of mine."

Mit finally spoke up, "Well, if you would pay us... we could work on capturing them, instead of killing..."

"But you might hand them over to Black Sun or the Republic, or some such. I can't have that. I want you two on permanent payroll to the Nova Outbound Fleet."

"Oh, oh... We engage in a far more cultured form of mercenary work... We are a fleet, together through mutual trust and friendship. We gain far greater riches than any individual contractor could ever obtain, and we live like kings. And, I'm the Admiral."

"[member="Cross Ikon"] please elaborate what you mean by a far more cultured for of mercenary work. I'm a bounty hunter. I'll do anything but I wish to be a bounty hunter."

"In holochess, there are pawns, and there are noble pieces. A bounty hunter would be the tower, the one who can only move in a straight line from his position. The members of the Nova are like the bishops, or the queens. The ones who can move almost anywhere on the board if you set the moves up right. That is the essence of what we do. We don't go for bounties on individual people. Rather, we search for valuable objects that we could never get our hands on otherwise, and obtain them, without noticeably having to directly move."

I grinned at the big lizard.

"If that sounded snooty, I'm sorry. But you get the point, right? It's like organized crime, except governments need us, so they can't touch us. If they did, the public would find out, and there would be trouble. Extortion without imprisonment."

"So the bounty hunters are less of bounty hunters and more of scavengers? It sounds to me like it's go find items we need and not here I'll pay you to kill this person or get this object. Regardless I'm interested." Said Burjjh. "Would you be willing to offer a permanent contract?" he inquired.

[member="Cross Ikon"]

"Willing and able, Mr. Burjjh. I left my datapad on the Duchess, so we'll have to wait until then. Enjoy the ride, though."

[member="Khalifa Burjjh"]

"How exciting," said Khalifa, with a resemblance of a smile. "I look forward to doing business with you." He put his head back on the seat, and closed his eyes.
