Tacky Thing
Kaia was looking for training. She always was. But she was also looking to explore the galaxy. That was part of the reason she was doing what she was doing. The Wandering Star, her YT-2400 that was now her home and personal transport, was in the docking bay and here she was, on The Wheel. She knew what her next move had to be in life. The Republic was not a safe place for her. The Republic was really not a safe place for anyone who could think for themselves. Maybe her father was right? Maybe the Empire was the way to go.
But she didn’t want to quit that quickly. She was part of the Levantine Sanctum and she had word that her father was there. Did that mean… no, she knew her brother was fine. The Dawn Treader was probably retreating to Csillia, the family’s Alamo. Even if she had no idea what the Alamo actually was.
And so she sat, on the Wheel, at one of the smaller food counters, a dish of rice on her plate and a tortilla filled with cheese and poultry strips. She was debating her life and she was looking around. Explore the galaxy that was what her Odyssey was for. Well, it was a really big, confusing place. She had heard word of what was going on in the Fringe, but… she didn’t know where she was supposed to go.
Sighing, she looked down at her food, then turned her attention to the Pod Race. Who owned this station, anyhow?
