Also the fact most of you object due to people wanting to play canon characters, why not just exercise some self control?

It's a big galaxy, needess to say plenty was going on in the background, and opens scope for a lot of possibilities rather than just having a million Jedis wandering about

Self-control is in extremely short supply around Chaos, [member="Lenix Ornil"] . You'll find most of what you want to do easily adaptable to the timeline really. Instead of smuggling against Imperials, you may want to switch that to the One Sith. Bam, same story, now it just fits into the timeline
