Via Dolorosa
Amans In Tenebris
The clouds overhead threatened to spill it's contents across the forest, while thunderous roars raged all across the sky; and in the jungles. The smell of the impending rain was refreshing and welcoming; something the Krath Death Witch hadn't experienced since leaving her home planet of Kesh months earlier. Her eyes flickered away from the sky into the darkness of the forest, where she sensed the rumblings of a predator. No mighty apex predator was stirring but a threat none-the-less.
With one hand she pulled out her saber staff, holding it in the ready position. Her desire to kill this beast was on her low lists of plans for being here. However, if the beast made the mistake of thinking she was a natural food source, the beast would quickly realize that she was not on the low end of the food chain.
The beast halted under the massive tree from which she was sitting in. The nose twitched and sniffed the air around it. The oblong head turned side to side, then with a heavy chuff proceeded along it's path. Her body relaxed from it's fighting tense and watched it disappear into the darkness. Then came the rain.
Not just a rain but a downpour, and the Krath Death Witch smiled with exotic pleasure. She ran her pale hand through her black hair, feeling the rain slip through her fingers. The rain was a blessing from the Goddess above. Now she could pursue the reason why she was here on Xagobah.
