What The Future Could Hold

[member="Mystie"]

It was an odd thing as she spoke about her mother that he felt some what the same with his father, though his father beat it into him without explaining that it was for the best of the family for when he went away...or died...by a garbage truck. Sin shook his head, trying to forget those memories.

"I can relate to that, though the scenario is a little different."

He looked over at the caf pot as it was nearly finished. With the Force, he stopped the flow of caf, and picked up the pot, and poured it into a mug, giving it to her.

"It is finished enough. Now, where were we?" He said as he placed the pot back under the machine, and let the caf continue to flow.

Sipping the caf from the mug, Mystie pondered what to say next. She could feel his understanding as a vision of a garbage truck flashed through her mind. Puzzled as to its meaning, Mystie debated whether or not to mention it to Crucifere. As she watched him, her natural curiosity outweighed her fear. Locking gazes with him, she tilted her head slightly and spoke, "Crucifere, what meaning is behind the garbage truck?? Could you explain??"

There were somethings that Sin found to be insulting, and rude, when one read his mind without his okaying, it irritated him. When she asked about the garbage truck, at first he thought maybe he had said it out loud, then realized he had not. Anger mixed with a raw memory still very fresh in his head didn't come out the way he wished.

"How about we start with the beatings, and the broken bones and spirit my father always made sure was my demeanor? Piled on top of all the crap he pulled, he crippled my sister trying to kill me. The failure of the Blood of Vahl missed! So when I was powerful enough, I attacked the Sith capital, and crushed him under a garbage truck.....only to find out that the sister I thought was dead was quite alive and well..."

His anger died quickly as he remembered Crystal touching his mind, it was so gentle, so caring. The nostalgia of it all suddenly brought a smile back to his face, and he relaxed.

"I am sorry...my emotions are raw, and when my guard is down, they can control me..around you I have let it down...my anger is not towards you but towards the man I remember being my inspiration....my father." [member="Mystie"]

Mystie listened intently as he spoke, attempting to keep his emotions from overwhelming her. As the anger and pain gave way to what she could only describe as loving nostalgia, his smile put her at ease. She felt an explanation was owed.
"Sometimes I see things, I don't go looking for them. It would anger my mother. As I grew older I finally met someone who could do these things too. He told me I could learn to control it with practice. When my mother found out she sent me away. I haven't seen her since. Sin, I know I have abilities that allow me to see and feel more than others do, but I have no control over them. There are many things we are meant to do together, I sense it... but I have no clue what or even how to find out." She paused her rambling waiting on his reaction....

The meat began to sizzle loudly as the fruit cooked with it, sweetening the flesh. It was large enough that it could be cut in half, and be a meal for two, maybe more. So that's what Sin did, he presented Mystie with a plate, listening as she spoke, and then sat a glass of water next to though he could offer many different things to drink, he just usually went straight for water. "I understand that, my father was...impulsive on me with learning the things I know today. Though I guess I should thank him in some shape or form. Who was it that showed you how to use these abilities? Are they still around?"

Suddenly unsure what to say, Mystie concentrate on the food he had placed in front of her. As they had talked she had been admiring his ease and skill in this area. His comfort and ease at using the Force to aide him in getting things accomplished was something she envied. She had never been allowed a safe haven to learn and explore her abilities much less know whether they were gifts or curses. How could she explain to him what she did not herself understand? Out of no where she had been hit with a case of self doubt and uncertainty, was he truly interested or was he just like the rest simply saying what he must in order to eventually mock and ridicule and use her abilities against her. Where was this train of thought coming from?? Only moments ago, she had been completely content, totally at ease and now... well now, she could only sit quietly, picking at her meal completely immersed in her own thoughts. She could feel his confusion as she toyed with her food unable to speak or meet his gaze...

Taking a sip of his water, Crucifere's eyes watched the woman's mood changed dramatically, though he was unsure of what it was he should say. The Vahla took in a breath, sucking in the makeshift air around them, then blew it out loudly. "Ya know...I learned most of what I know today on my own...my desire for power, and knowledge drove me to keep going even though I was defeated over and over again by my opponents. I am powerful, yes, I can do a great many things, yes....but I am still just a single being within a universe filled with countless others."

As quickly as they appeared Mystie's doubts and fears passed, raising even more questions in Mystie's mind. Were these thoughts and fears even her own?? It wouldn't have been the first time she had picked up on the thoughts and feelings of someone outside of her presence. As she listened to his words it became clear to her that he may actually understand. Exhaling deeply, she began speaking "I sometimes see things without clear reason why. It can range from a quick flash almost like a picture to a full vision. I have no control over the when, why, or how. I frequently feel the emotions of others, sometimes I can easily identify them as someone else's. More often than not, I am unsure. Other things occur occasionally that I have no explanation for, I am aware that I am somehow responsible but have no idea how. These things made me a freak in my mother's eyes and an outcast. I have no want nor need for power. The ability to control and choose what I think, see and feel is my ultimate wish. I somehow know I am supposed to guide you and there is much at stake but how is that to occur if I have no control over any of it. I do not understand which makes it difficult to explain."

"We will get you there...we will guide each other in this path Mystie." He smiled at her brightly, and then picked up his fork. "Come, it will get cold, and there are plenty of other things to talk about that are less negative." Sin began to cut his meat, and picking it up with his fork. Placing it in his mouth, he chewed on it slowly, savoring the flavor of sweet fruit and the strong taste of reptile. When he swallowed his food, he looked back at her once more. "Peace is a lie, there is only passion."

His words, meant to be calm and soothing helped some. He truly seemed to understand, it radiated from him. As they ate she found herself remembering those before who had said all the right things using pretty words in the attempt to abuse and manipulate her. Those who called themselves friends and talked of understanding only to later harshly make judgement without proof at the slightest whim. She had trusted before and been betrayed each time. Was she setting herself up for more of the same by trusting him. They needed each other that much she knew without doubt, but why, for what. Was he to be her ultimate lesson in betrayal or her guidance to truth and control. As her thoughts progressed, she found herself relaxing. Part of her felt this to be odd, this line of thought should be upsetting her and building negative emotions instead she could feel his calm reassurance giving her strength almost as if neutralizing the pain that these thoughts and memories normally brought. She looked at him, thinking why?? She saw his smile grow and felt herself cocooned in comfort as he said "Why not??"

Sin smiled as he placed another piece of meat in his mouth, and chewed on it while thinking on how best to explain his thought process. When he swallowed, he placed his utensils down to lock his fingers together as he placed his chin on the tops of his hands. "The Sith, the Jedi, the Mandalorians, and every other major player in the galaxy will not want peace with one another...their passion runs too strong in what they want, what they believe...it has been like this...forever. Coexistence is possible, I believe." He cocked his head.

Listening as he spoke, Mystie mulled over his use of the word "coexistence". How did he think he could convince such diverse cultures to set aside their rivalries. Looking at him intently, she asked "and how do you intend to achieve this?"
