Private What Goes Bump In The Night

Coruscant was a pleasant enough place, normally. After the attack of the Maw and their Sith, that couldn't be said for the lower levels. It was there Alina roamed most nights. Staying in the shadows, watching the people live their lives as best they could in the ruins. Sometimes they were threatened by Sithspawn and other nightmarish creatures, only to be saved by the pale skinned woman. Not that they'd remember what happened. The monsters would come, and they'd wake up later feeling drained.

It was only fitting that their savior took some kind of reward, and a vampire needed to feed.

But she'd never felt this disconnected from the world before. Alina was an observer. Interfering on behalf of the normal folk, trying to help the Sithspawn that still could be helped, but never truly reaching anyone. A wall between the monsters in the shadows and the people who walked in the sun, unwilling to take fully to the darkness and unable to exist in the light. A sad smile crept on her lips as she watched the busy street below. People, families, shopping and trading.

Living.

The pale skinned woman sat on the ledge, letting her legs swing to and fro as she leaned back on her palms. Hell, she even looked the part of a monster. The black robe that better helped her hide in the shadows she was destined to live in. The glowing yellow eyes that watched from her perch so removed from society. She laughed. Why not laugh? This was her life now. So caught up in this melancholy and self pity she felt nothing behind her. Even as a the monstrous jaw of some creature opened behind her.

It was an unsettling feeling that had her gaze behind. Large, grey fangs were all she saw. Something hiding in the shadows- No. Something of shadows had emerged. No heartbeat. No feeling of life. It emerged from a crack, ripping it's way from the Netherworld.

"Well chit."
