Description: The WESTAR-43 was designed and created by the WESTAR corporation in conjunction with stolen technology from the Sith Ascendancy. The WESTAR corporation for some time had been searching for a way to make their blaster weapons more effective against Jedi Lightsabers due to the increase of force users throughout the galaxy in recent years.
The company was able to achieve this by studying the Chiss Ascendancy's unique Charric type weapons which utilized Maser particle discharges instead of regular compressed Tibana gas. This Maser technology allowed for a greater hit, and unlike blasters caused an electric shock upon contact with armor.
Charric bolts were also far more difficult to block with a lightsaber, hitting harder and with more kinetic force than a regular Blaster. This made it more effective against Lightsaber users but also made the weapon have a far shorter range than a blaster, as well as a decreased capacity for shots in one power pack.
