The Union itself is an overarching ivnestment union, searching for possibilities to acquire more wealth and influence through offering banking services and trading real estate. They are known for ruthlessly and recklessly abusing their possibilities by controlling various branches, generating money by themselves far from oversight or economic control.
Weltenbrand Interstellar is a dockyard and ship engineering dedicated subsidiary, formed to rival and catch up to the major wharfs of the galaxy. The noble families of the region being the major customers, their commerce and military assets growing ever so steadily.
Phelar Heavy Engineering fulfills the second leg on which the nobilities power rests. Engineering and research of ground vehicles is the main stay, with an addition of producing equipment for heavy industry, agriculture and mining.
The Eriadu Commerce Guild is a logistics and freight forwarding company, responsible for the supply and tariffs of and in the system, it is a maintstay and by personnel one of the largest employers due to the intersection of four hyperspace routes.
Wulfgard Freight Forwarding is a small and specialised company, used for more special deliveries and jobs.
The Family Hohenlautern Works are a Karideph based arms producer, focusing on the supply of high quality military equipment.
RATIONALE
The Weltenbrand Union was founded by several industrious noble families from Eriadu in the waning years of the Confederacy. Spearheaded by an ambitious noble family from the Minos Cluster, the Counts von Hohenlautern, the Union was formed by combining several smaller companies which had aligning political ambitions. They were extremely militaristic and imperialistic, their desire for expansion and domination driving them forward and putting them as the primary group of influence once the Confederacy had finally crumbled.
