We'll paint it red to fit right in (ACA Dominion of Zenith Prime)

Corey's OOC

And where were the spiders
There was a lot going on, and Marek Starchaser wasn't so keen on getting his hands dirty. Lucky for him, he had a wonderful team of dedicatd individuals to get the job done for him. He was aboard his personal freighter as he pulled into the planetary system known as Zenith Prime. The world was once the stronghold of the Confederacy and was going to become the shining beacon of the Abrion Corporate military. There were still Dread Guard on the world, he supposed, but that wasn't a problem. The past several weeks and months, the Force users in the Obsidian Order have been training to work without the Force, and relying more on what gadgets the Techno Union could provide for them.

When he entered the system, he could see his instruments alerting him to weapons powering up. He was hoping that he could buy himself and the fleet that would be following behind him a few moments with the express codes that were granted to him as the former leader of the government and as one of the advisors to the current Foreman of the Techno Union. That was all he needed, a few moments to get the drop on the world.

The mission was simple. Keep the fleet intact, take command of the world, deploy the droid army to keep any splinter groups that arose during the time of this galactic rapture and the chaos with his homeworld being split.

He was trying to not think of that at all. Looking behind him, there were a pair of Hydra War Droids in his ship, and they were going to be covering his backside as he made his way into the R&D department, to put the Techno Union in charge of that facility. The rest? That was up to the fleet and the Obsidian Order...

Everyone had their orders, he was just coming in to earn a few moments for the fleet.

Let's hope its worth it.

Objectives:
1) Secure and convert Camp Tal'Verda into a Techno Union research facility

2) Secure or destroy Camp Verd, place Abrion Corporate military in charge of the world

3) Gain control of planetary dovin basals and weapons systems

Zenith Prime.

The dossiers said that it was created during the height of the Confederacy. A place that was intended to house the Force-dead Dread Guard and act as a fortress against those who would do the CIS harm. To say that Sigma was one of the greatest antagonists to the CIS itself would have been an understatement, and to say that he appreciated Zenith's current occupants was a total lie. He was cautioned against the Guard and their Force deadness. His counter-argument? You don't have to be connected to the Force to burn, become electrocuted, or crushed. So he couldn't sense them? Voids are noticeable. So he couldn't directly affect them? The whole world would be his weapon if it had to be. The Force was unlimited, and trickery of the flesh would not be his undoing. Unnatural creatures that they were.

"Valente reporting." he said, to no one in particular, over the intercom.

He hadn't fully engrained himself back into the Abrion yet. He had designs, and he needed to get into contact with whomever could help him with those designs. As such, he was in no way affiliated with the Obsidian. Not yet. He was a... mercenary without pay but with far more interest. It was complicated. He looked down to the machined world and couldn't help but smirk when an alert showed that someone had targeted his vessel. Or something. Force dead wasn't a gift, it was an abomination. Unless he was facing a Yuuzhan Vong itself and their deranged biology, he wouldn't stand for such creatures.

Though. They may have their uses. He noted in his mind that if any of those Dread Guard remaining should surrender, to not ruthlessly kill them off. The ACA would probably appreciate that.

Raziel had little understanding of Yuuzhan Vong politics. Some factions on Zenith Prime were content to remain under the auspices of the ACA, others were apparently set on independence. Raziel was here to disavow them of the notion.

The interior of the transport was a hive of activity. Obsidian Knights and squads of various battle droids, including hail fires, were assembled and checking their gear. He took a moment to slide a cryoban grenade into his launcher, before slamming the breach back up.

Raziel slid the helmet of his nightshrike armour down. The advanced stealth armour had its own internal systems for wicking away body heat and turning it into power for the systems, but it required a full seal. His augmented reality display came online, a small readout appeared in the air next to each of the Obsidian Knights in their advanced armour. It gave names and current load outs.

He checked out his own gear. Across one wrist his data terminal was loaded with spynet slicing algorithms. His other wrist had a bracers of splinter knives and a pair of poison dispensers filler with Smart tranq. On his back he had a smart grenade launcher on his bag holster and a micro turret dispenser. He had a range of grenades across his chest many non lethal, but on his belt he had a spynet personal cloaking device.

"This is Raziel, all Obsidian Knights form up on me as we commence the assault. Let the droids soak up the first wave of Yuuzhan Vong warriors, let's not risk getting too close with the Force acting up. Valente, glad to have you along."

Where did it say that signing up to be a cadet in the Obsidian Order was going to bring her into a combat situation? She... wasn't really looking forward to that. Nope. Nope. Nope. But there seemed to be a paycheck involved, and a fancy fighter, and the lightsaber blade wasn't a bad color. Y'know, for a blue. Could be worse, one of those rachet-y orange ones, that would've been lame. Stormy blue she could deal with. It was like how she wanted to take her fighter and paint it. But what color? Black? Black would be cool.

Never went out of style. But... well, a dark gray would look really rad on the ship. Something not done. Maybe she could paint it on her own? Just sneak some cans of space-paint (patent pending) and go to town. Most likely she'd flirt her way into making someone do it for her. That would be how Molly would do it, And she wouldn't even need to use the Force. Not that she was all that strong in it, but she could react a bit quicker than most people, and really had no inkling as to where it was going to bring her.

Apparently to a battle field.

In a set of not very flattering armor (sure, it had a cool look, but... not flattering, she supposed it wouldn't be apt for her to seduce men on the battle field), and in a drop ship. This was... not familiar. Looking around, her armor was still pretty basic, basic but useful. She knew that she could access and hack through computer systems, and that was probably what she was going to do, until she received more combat training. She could break down firewalls, same as hacking credit terminals back on Nar Shaddaa.

Not that she was ever caught for that. She looked around and saw [member="Raziel"], who was calling for them to meet up with him. Probably a good idea. One of the Navy men had said that one of the Hydra War Droids was going to back her up and she looked over at it, a dark red shell, and the designation HWD-068 showed up on her HUD.

So close...

“Right... fighting. Kark.”

Was she scared? Hell yes. And she'd admit it to.

But the pay. And the spice she can buy with it.

Vi'kas walked up to [member="Raziel"] in the transport ship. "Sir, what will be our primary objective?" Vi'kas was currently apprenticed to Raziel, and was not sure how to address the man. He would normally call him "Master," but since they were on a military mission, he opted on calling him sir. Due to his time around the Sith, Vi'kas immediately tensed his body up, prepared for a shock of force lightning. Every master he had ever had had electrocuted him at some point, and he did not enjoy the feeling.

Raziel had no particular method of teaching, then again he had no particular personality. He was a blank canvas, able to project any mask as required. When teaching this ranges across the spectrum from stern to supportive. The Spymaster achieved this through empathy, telepathy, mental manipulation and a plain old ability to act. All were skills that would be vital to any apprentices that followed him on his shadow war against the enemies of the ACA.

However, today was a much more overt battle, as he explained. "We've got a whole battle group of Yuuzhan Vong in outright rebellion. We've located their yammosk and the plan is to bring it down and undermine their fighting ability. We're the tip of a spear and we're going to him them hard. We've still got a large number of Chazrach and Vong between us and the target and the Force isn't responding. With that in mind, let the battle droids soak up the worst of what they've got."

Raziel finished checking his weapons and equipment as he calmly advised on the situation. Their transport weaved through the terrain, skirting the worst of the conflict and aiming for the home of the war coordinator.

"Ever fight a Vong?"

[member="Vi'kas Mirtis"]

In fact, Vi'kas had had some interaction with the Vong before. Except for instead of fighting them, he was fighting with them. As a matter of fact, he had helped Vongform entire planets, but the Knights didn't need to know that. He didn't know if they fought the Vong all the time, or just in this instance. Either way, he had his secrets, secrets that he would divulge at his own leisure.

In a completely normal tone, he replied, "No, sir. Never fought a Vong before. Any weaknesses I should be aware of?"

[member="Raziel"]

"Weaknesses? Their main one is what we're trying to exploit now. This is a splinter group of Yuuzhan Vong, and they only have one Yammosk. They're insisting that they should lead the world because their leader is the greatest warrior. She's also known for her remarkable stupidity and endless aggression. Which is why the main body of Yuuzhan Vong had no interest on following their lead, let alone the ACA.

"Every Yuuzhan Vong warrior will fight until they are physically prevented from doing do. Armour damn near impenetrable, each staff is an indestructible weapon that can shift between spear, staff, sword and whip. So. .. Let the droids soak up the worst of it and don't feel bad about killing them unawares," Raziel continued. Without the Force he was unable to sense the deception. Following tatooine he'd almost completely cut himself off from it to avoid being tortured by others thoughts and emotions. He had no idea if he would ever be able to use it properly again. That scared him.

The LAAT touched down with a final thrum of repulsors. The back doors opened and let the noise of chaos enter. The Hailfire droids sped out of the ship, unencumbered by terrain. They almost immediately started firing, instantly receiving targeting information from other droids and sensors.

Raziel was up from his seat, grenade launcher shouldered. If the Force wouldn't aid him today, technology and skill would.

[member="Vi'kas Mirtis"]

Vi'kas drew his emerald green lightsaber, twirling it in his hand. He waited for the droids to disembark before he did, letting them take the brunt of the damage, as [member="Raziel"] had recommended. After they had unloaded, he did a front flip off the platform, practicing his Ataru techniques. The more of an opportunity he could he could get to practice, the better. He scanned the surrounding landscape, though no enemies were in sight.

@Vi'kas Mirtis
A razor bug hissed through the air just inches from Raziel's head and he almost collapsed in surprise. Even though the creatures existed outside of the force, he would normally have been offered some sort of warning before.

He dropped to one knee and shouldered his grenade launcher. The razor bug hit the ground behind him and one of the droids blasted it.

Ahead of them great shards of Yorik coral jutted out of the ground at odd angles. The Vong had hastily grown them as defensive walls. Near impervious to blasters, they would be forced to engage up close. Of course, the hail fire droids could float on repulsors. Raziel switched his smart grenade launcher to airburst mode and fired a round over the barrier, near the place where a Chazrach had emerged with a chitin carbine. The simple frag round detonated and was followed by the cries of dying reptoids. The Hailfire droids followed, keeping to the air and firing down on the defenders.

"Move up!" Raziel called.

Nerves? Something like that.

Definitely something like that. Letting out an embarrassing shrill when the razor bug sped overhead, Molly looked to the gathered. She had her lightsaber on her belt, and her rifle hanging from her shoulder. Smaller, to compensate for her frame, but she knew it was deadly. That was scary, actually dealing with something like that.

Not some ratchet piece of junk.

She watched as the Hydra-War Droid approached behind her. Right, there was that. All she needed to do was depend on the processor and combat computer. Shaking her head from the sounds of blaster fire, she looked up. [member="Raziel"] was giving an order. Move up?

Where? Into the battle?

She looked, turning her head the direction the bug had come from. Right, Obsidian Order. Save the galaxy, and using expensive tech.

She could totally do this.

Totally.

Whatever.

Darell Irani was not arriving in a freighter, the tact and subtlety of such matters were simply beyond him or perhaps it was an act of ignorance that enabled him to get away with things that few others could in his position. The semantics of such a theory aside, he had arrived in his decommissioned lucrehulk, which if you still remembered the old lesson from before the Gulag, before the Yuuzhan Vong armies and went back to the origins of the ancient Clone Wars… well, let’s suffice it to say that a decommissioned lucrehulk was a still a beast of a thing, regardless of.

Within the folds of the Lucrehulk there was an army of droids, an army that Starchaser had spoken- or perhaps thought was a better verb to describe the process. At any rate, Irani liked the idea of the Techno Union and so he would support their efforts with his assets, and perhaps he would gain something himself. One could picture that the facility that would be build over the remnants of the Tal’Verda Camp would be worth quite a lot to the research-inclined figures of the Galaxy.

Starchaser.’ the businessman said over the commlink to his old friend. ‘I have not forgotten our old arrangement, I am here to help.’

Objective 1

[member="Darell Irani"]

The fleet, no matter how small the craft were, was arriving as Marek was making the weapons stand down. A few tricks in his sleeve still were allowing him to do this. Starchasers were smugglers, so a smuggler tactic to take down a military stronghold? Not a bad idea. Bringing his ship in quickly towards Zenith Prime, he was just hoping that the fleet would get in most of the way before any remnants of rebels or Dread Guard started shooting.

And that was when he heard the comlink come to life. A grin crept across his face.

That meant his business-bro was here. With the droid army. Ready to wipe the Guard from the world. “Its a pleasure to have you along. I'm going to be focusing on Camp Tal'Verda. I want to see what we can save from the research, barring that we'll slag it.”

And flak cannons started firing.

“Or we'll slag it first.”

Raziel rounded a shard of coral that stood out from the ground. A Chazrach turned to face him and reached for one of those wicked, organic knives they used close up. It chittered something in its odd language at the top of its voice.

The Spymaster didn't have the Force, but he still had his speed. He crossed the gap in a flash and shouldered the reptoid to the ground. The creature waved the blade at him, but it was no use now. Raziel kicked the arm out of the way and put the creature down with a single incision from his own blacked out combat blade.

There was no warning from the Force, but Raziel heard the Yuuzhan Vong coming at them. He dropped to one knee and shouldered his smart grenade launcher. No point trying to engage one of those beasts hand to hand without the Force.

Anxiety was a new feeling they young Du Couteau had started to feel recently, and it was one that Seto struggled often to get over such a feeling. His fingers danced around his saber's hilt, his fingers tentatively wrapped around the steel weapon currently attached onto his back. Seto looked bored, a perfect poker face for those that ever glanced his direction but his other hand quickly began to comb the dark patch of hair on his head. Seto slowly calmed himself, his anxiety dying down as he allowed his aloof and cool demeanor take over for the moment. Slowly Seto placed back on the armored dark gloves on his hands as he waited for the order to move out.

Seto ran through a quick checklist of his items, his training saber still firmly attached to his waist, his Wester Blaster on the other side and with his sword strapped on his back. His fingers traced his belt that held several sets of explosives and with a single physical glance at his boots he patted the twin daggers in them. His helmet sat right beside him and with that final rundown of his equipment he placed his helmet on and quickly began to adjust himself with the HUD. Turning his head and glancing around the others he quickly attuned himself to the helmet's view. The transport rumbled and Seto quickly refocused himself to the tasks ahead of him, his eyes targeted the war droids ready for the battle coming ahead and Seto braced himself.

The Young Du Couteau shouldered himself into action, his hand enveloped his sword's hilt and removed it from his back. He knew the weak points of the Crab Armor and that was all he cared about, his legs sprung into action and Seto headed himself the battle. His feet quickly closed the distance between himself the rest of the Obsidian Knights, an order from his Instructor "Move Up!" was heard quite clearly as Seto dodged away from incoming fire. He wasn't sure of all the sudden emotional trauma had stiffed his Force senses or perhaps it was the Vong that he was fighting, but his dodge came frightening too close for Seto's liking.

The Hell Fire droids moved easily enough past the first obstacle of a wall built in defense but Seto himself currently could not fly in quite the fashion the droids could sadly. Seto's eyebrows furrowed as he narrowed his eyes to the targets in front of him. Two reptilian warriors, Chazrachs, snarled at him and Seto smirked as he lunged forward. His saber quickly sinking deep into the first one's chest, the other brought down his staff to smash Seto's face in but Seto had freed one of his hands and used the Force to bring up and ignite his Training Saber on to block the incoming attack.

Seto jumped back, kicking the hilt of the saber stuck in other Chazrach's chest deeper still and quickly gripped his training's saber hilt with both hands. He parried the next attack, shifting the next attack to the left as Seto distanced himself. Moving back to the dead, or perhaps dying, Chazrach on the floor Seto grabbed his sword and pulled it out of the creature's chest before blocking the next attack from the other Chazrach. Seto hated using two blades but quickly lunged forward once more, deflecting the staff with his training saber and stabbing into the Chazrach's chest again with his sword. Seto disengaged his training saber and attached it to his waist as he assured himself that neither Chazrach would surprised him later.

He looked back up as he had a slight feeling of uneasiness that this was perhaps going to be the easiest fight he would have today.

Vong. Vong were terrible to fight. She couldn't even sense them before she knew what the Force was. And now? They didn't even have a damned computer system. She was not going to like this. Why were they all around? What did they want with this world? Well, aside from the obvious teabagging of it. What was she supposed to do here? She couldn't get high, she couldn't find these frakkers in the Force...

She didn't want to hide behind the droids, she wanted to actually earn her money. Seeing that people were caring? Maybe she should, just a bit.

She was following [member="Raziel"], lightsaber in hand, and droids on either side. Right, this girl really needed some combat training, and she figured pepper spray and a kick to the groin probably wasn't going to do what she needed to be done.

Watching the droids mow through a few Vong warriors was always a satisfying vision. She could get used to this.

Raziel kept his aim steady as he let the aiming reticule report that it had a fix on the Yuuzhan Vong’s range. He carefully depressed the trigger and the grenade was away with a “whump”. The http://starwarsrp.net/topic/42993-smart-sunspot-grenadesmines/]sunspot grenade[/url] flew slightly wide of the Vong, but it still detonated as it passed the creature. Raziel’s visor immediately responded to the white flash by adjusted the increasing the attenuation of the visor.

Crab armour was tough as nails and could absorb huge amounts of energy, but everything had its limit. Baradium could melt durasteel and even if the armour didn’t have enough gaps to expose the creature to lethal levels of heat, it would have been baked in its armour. It was still disconcerting how the creature died with barely a complaint.

Raziel popped open the breach, ready to load another of the effective grenades. It was only the hiss of an amphistaff that alerted him to another Yuuzhan Vong warrior hiding in the coral to his side. The beast leapt down, living staff whipping out. Raziel rolled to the side with remarkable speed, but he fumbled the grenade. The staff slashed through the air perilously close to him a second time and he found himself off-balance and backpedalling.

Vi'kas aimed down his Tusken Cycler rifle, no scope. However, he didn't need one. His unique eyepiece acted as a scope on its own, targeting the Vong that was about to kill [member="Raziel"] . He had gotten the unique gun from the time he had spent as a Tusken Raider on Tatooine. He opted to use this weapon instead of his saber for time being.

He frowned as Raziel stumbled backwards, and the Vong advanced. He only had seconds to act. His eyepiece zoomed in on the creature's eye, one of it's only vulnerable places. He took a deep breath, then pulled the trigger as the breath released. The Vong's head jerked backed as the projectile went through its eye, spurting black blood through the back of its hideous head. He looked up from Raziel, giving him a thumbs up.

Okay.

That was a lot of noise.

Like a lot of noise.

She didn't like it. It wasn't rhythmic, it wasn't fun, it was loud, and honestly terrifying. She peaked up from where she was taking cover, because well, [member="Raziel"] had frakking grenade launcher. Where did he get that thing anyhow? Would she get one? Could she even use one?

One of the beasts came in, the Vong. Those ugly sumbitches. She didn't know what to do, but pulled her rifle forward and squeezes blasts at the critter. Biting her lip behind her mask, she didn't want anyone to know just how freaked out she was. “What should I do?” She called to no one in particular.

@Vi'kas Mirtis [member="Seto Du Couteau"]

Raziel rolled back to his feet, only having half a second to wave a thanks in the direction of Vikas. The shouts and warcries of the Yuuzhan Vong intensified. It was a full counter attack. They’d used the chazrach to draw them into the maze of coral walls and then launched a full charge.

Good.

Raziel finished loading a Cryoban smart mine into his launcher. Taking aim at the nearest choke point, he set the mine to wall stick and detonate on two metre approach.

There was a “whump” as he fired. The smart mine accelerating through the air. It deployed a tiny amount of glop as it slammed into the coral wall, sticking fast. “Time for manoeuvre Charlie?” he asked into the comm.

“Affirmative,” replied a droid commander.

“Fall back to the open ground!” Raziel shouted into his comm. They couldn’t commit to fighting this battle on the vong terms. Of course, the Vong would not resist pursuing a falling back enemy. The hailfire droids continued flying overhead in groups of three. Thud bugs flew through the air after them, but the efficient little droids were proving quite effective in engaging the Yuuzhan Vong from above.

A trio of Yuuzhan Vong charged past the mine. They were a white flash and a blast of cold air. When Raziel looked back, all three were frozen in place. He set a smart frag mine to airburst on proximity to lifeforms and fired it into the group as he fell back.
