Faction Welcome Aboard Party [Diarchy]

The Ragnarok ship is finally ready, and today is her inauguration day. For the occasion, I'm stationed in a neighboring system to Taspir III, really far from anywhere. We're in the middle of nowhere, in the void of space somewhere to the right of the map.

I've sent my coordinates to the people concerned, and I'm already on board, waiting on the hangar bridge leading to the ship's upper decks. This new combat frigate is equipped with a special little model of my own design, and I can't wait to show them what my antimatter research has made possible.

I'm dressed in a festive costume, and I've also prepared a small bin with sunglasses to protect my eyes from the future ... I can't talk about this right now. I'm holding my datapad in my right hand, in my left I'm standing at the metal railing at the top of the stairs, with a bird's-eye view of the hangar. The spaceships are empty for the moment; I haven't come with the Solar Spectrum, as I already have this one, which I'm currently commanding.

I'm looking at the time and my guests should be arriving soon. There are members of the faction of course, but there's also the king of korriban who should be joining the party. I've enlisted the help of Nyva, who's busy preparing the reception room up on deck. On the bridge, in fact, there's a large bay window allowing you to admire the space, just like on the standard Empire models.

The ship also boasts a luxury suite perfect for relaxing, a sauna area, steam rooms and all the amenities a ship can offer.
Stowing my datapad in its pouch on my belt, I look out towards the hangar's blue door to see who's coming in first. I can't help but have a smile on my face because I'm happy with what I'm going to present. The others don't know yet. This is the fruit of my research and I intend to benefit from it just as the faction can benefit from it.

Pride in an Apprentice

In his short lifetime many things had surprised Rellik, many had brought him joy and pride. Today though was something special. Lyssara, a prodigal scientist, alchemist and student that had been moving at a speed unseen within the Diarchy's lower ranks had separated herself from the pack. She truly has reached above the stars and her own position to solidify herself as someone who can see the bigger picture. This innovation and celebration was Lyssara's alone to hold high. He could not be more suprised, proud and joyful of her progress and initiative.

Firstly he ensured to gather his personal items. He would bring his litigation droid (Onyx) to record the event and invited Varis as his plus one. Than he would have them ready the shuttle while he changed. Bringing out his more expensive fabrics, a white robe and tunic with gold trim. They were typically too cumbersome to be worn out into the galaxy but tonight was a special occasion.

With a proud stride he went from his personal quarters aboard the DSD-Vault to the hanger bay. Boarding his IV-9 Rangemaster ship and traveling to the destined location.

"Come in Lyssara Thrynn Lyssara Thrynn this is Diarch Rellik. Varis, Onyx and I are approaching your vessel." He hailed over as they came out of hyperspace. The vessel itself was a beautiful design. They moved into the hangars blue doors and touched down. With a plume of smoke the ramp lowered and the three party guests had officially arrived.

With an obnoxious smile on his face and with his two attendants at his side the Co-head spoke out to Lyssara.
"Incredible! You have truly outdone yourself! Look at this beauty!" As if the two had not seen each other in forever the Diarch moved up to her with his arms wide and gave her a welcoming hug, ignoring Lyssara's typical shyness. "I apologize for my brashness but I don't think I have ever felt such pride in another outside of Reign. Please don't light on fire right now" He held her for a moment longer before letting go, giving her a big squeeze. "Now if you do not mind, I have brought food and wine for the occasion. I would like to take them to the reception area where your Ava, Onyx and Varis can put them away before the others arrive." Rellik moved to the side to show a cart overflowing with silly items and goods. "I am sure you are well stocked but you know me." He proceeded to let the others around him as he finished talking to Lyssara.

"If there is anything else you wish of me, just ask. Thank you for the honor of this." The Co-Head of the Diarchy gave a genuine, honest bow to his apprentice. Looking back up at her with sincere eyes and a professional expression he did not usually carry. "Enjoy yourself tonight."

The first communication is from my master, and I take my datapad to authorize his landing, having temporarily deactivated the ship's security systems.
I wonder what he'll be like today. I think he'll do things with the usual pomp and circumstance. I can't blame him, because I'm doing exactly the same. I've gone all out to make sure everything is perfect for this little firing ceremony.

I see him arrive with a cart full of festive stuff, and I warn my maid that she'll have extra work to do, because I want everything to be perfect.

He starts talking to me. He doesn't usually praise me this much, so I might as well make the most of it. My smile widens on my face, anyway I don't intend to do the firing until everyone is here, the load I've planned for the party, the fireworks are a bit special, I want to show the extent of the Ragnarok project and I intend to do it well.

"Thank you, master, but please, the honor is shared tonight - it's all our party. Please enjoy it as much as I have. And don't forget your goggles. You'll need them for... uh... the final bouquet."

I look at the contents of the cart, there's some very good quality wine, as well as lots of exotic foods. There are also a few fun trinkets.

"I think we can leave it to Shei, that's what she's here for."

As for me, I'm going to wait for the other guests, the party will take place on the deck of the ship in front of the big bay window, so we'll have a great view for the final fireworks.

Shortly afterwards, my maid healer arrived in her evening dress, her hair tied back, and she had made an effort to present herself well. As I had ordered, she has followed my instructions. I nod in her direction to tell her she can take the cart.

"It's an honor to meet you again, my lord."

She greets the lord with a polite nod, then turns to me as if seeking my approval, I nod that she may mount. She then picks up the wagon full of food and begins to bring it up to the deck to be prepared.

As Reign's shuttle touched down, he gathered himself for a moment.
He had brought only himself as his wife and children were on a small familial excursion together.

He signaled his guards to accompany him, as he walked down the ramp of his shuttle, Black robes swaying, and the gold stitching catching the light, making it appear as if the Diarch were shimmering slightly.

Reign appraised the young one in front of him, his brother's apprentice, she had punch far above her station with this, and the Diarch could feel his brother's pride.

Echoing the sentiment he said

"You have done well Lyssara, this is a magnificent ship, I look forward to seeing what it can do."

He bowed his head in a respectful manner, acknowledging the work she had put forth.

"It has been the subject of many a high council session.. I know I am not your master, that honor belongs to my brother, but, a word of advice? Try and remember to have fun, and be proud in your accomplishment."

with that, he sought his fellow Diarch's presence in the force, always able to pick him out easily.
heading towards the observation bay, he found the other man, with Varis
no surprise there Reign thought, a small smile on his face.

Coming up to stand by his side he spoke softly.

"Father would be proud of what we have done brother, and I hope you are proud of your apprentice"

The second person to arrive is none other than the other founding member of the diarchy, arriving with his bodyguards in an outfit just as classy as that of my master. Next to him, I feel a little ridiculous, having put on a simple festive outfit. I don't have this kind of extravagant outfit yet, after all, I'm still just an acolyte.

He comes up to my level and tells me that my creation has attracted the attention of the Grand Council. For me, it's just another scientific experiment.
Faced with this myriad of complements, I can only bow my head politely as a sign of respect to him, straighten my head and throw a friendly smile in his direction.

"Thank you for coming, it's an honor to welcome you aboard. I hope I won't disappoint you with tonight's presentation. Don't forget to take your protective gear too! Have a great time, let's all have fun together! "

I watch as he heads up to the bridge, wondering if anyone else will be joining the party. I've still issued a few invitations, but I sincerely hope they'll come this great ship is just waiting to be inaugurated.

What I am sure of is the result of my experiment, I'm not afraid, I know it's going to work. All I have to do now is pop the champagne and enjoy the festivities. I'm still thinking about my speech while Shei is upstairs welcoming Reign. She makes the customary greeting and he goes back to his work of preparation, even though she's finished now.

I don't feel any more stressed than that... Why is that? Simply because today the ship is here, the Ragnarok torpedo too is ready to be fired for the final bouquet. With two ships already in my hangar, I lean against the railing, a little more relaxed than usual.
My project, my dream is about to come true, it's only a matter of time now.

Kallous had entirely forgotten that the Ragnarok was being unveiled that day. So entrenched in his training was he that he had entirely missed it. His datapad abandoned in his chamber, the notifications unnoticed for several hours while he spent those hours in the Crucible.

Training droids armed with practice sabers set to max intensity had assaulted him endlessly, just as he’d liked it. Intense training forcing him to improve. So when his training ended for a short while a fellow student made a remark.

“Isn’t there some event you were supposed to be at today?”

Kallous had hesitated a moment. Then his thoughts screamed.

HEKKK!!!

Kallous, still sweaty from his training and sporting several fresh burns to his arms and face from the practice sabers, rushed to his ship. One stolen from the Sith, and he bathed as best and quickly as he could en route. It was far from perfect, but it would do.

He hailed the vessel being unveiled to receive permission to land. Hopefully he wasn’t so disheveled that they knew why he was so late.

“This is Kallous, come in Lyssara Thrynn Lyssara Thrynn , Requesting permission to board.” He said into his ship’s communicator.

Once given permission to land he would bring the vessel into the docking bay, and land it in a free space, then disembark to witness the majesty of this new ship. He had to admit, it was gorgeous. And while he himself much preferred personal strength, one’s own ability to fight and dominate, he could definitely appreciate a weapon such as this.

It was absolutely stunning to see. And he couldn’t wait to see what his fellow apprentice had put together. He knew that he wouldn’t be doing anything better than this himself. And that impressed him that one of his status did something so grand.

He would approach Lyssara, and say. “Incredible. This exudes strength like any dreadnought would. I’m very impressed. And I am eager to see what it can do.”

Permission to land was, of course, granted, and a designated hangar bay with an assigned number was automatically provided so he could land without issue.

I hadn't expected him to come, but if he wants to witness the extent of what science can achieve, then he's in the right place. The festivities haven't started yet, so I can't hold his tardiness against him. I remain standing against the railing as his figure comes into view, ascending to meet me. He greets me with the customary pleasantries, as one might expect in such a formal gathering.

"I'm glad to see you here," I say with a polite nod.

"I'll make sure to show you what this frigate is truly capable of. Don't forget your protective goggles, though. And do enjoy yourself tonight; our Masters are gathered on the main deck."

I offer him a small, friendly smile, allowing him the freedom to explore the ship as he wishes. For the occasion, the vessel has been well-stocked, with food and drink available to everyone onboard.

The grand finale promises to be nothing short of spectacular. By my calculations, we'll have something akin to a literal fireworks display. The protective goggles aren't merely a courtesy; they'll be essential once the show begins.

The frigate is abuzz with activity, the hum of excitement palpable as preparations continue. Crew members scurry about, setting the stage for what will undoubtedly be an impressive demonstration of both power and innovation. The dim glow of the ship's lighting adds a dramatic touch, highlighting the sleek lines of the equipment and the refined craftsmanship of the ship's interiors. Shei have been done to prepare the bridge all is ready for the party.

For those who choose to venture beyond the observation deck, they'll find state-of-the-art laboratories, mechanical workshops, and holographic display chambers designed to showcase the cutting-edge capabilities of this vessel. Yet, despite the technical marvels surrounding us, I can't help but feel the anticipation of the final act a moment engineered to leave an indelible mark on everyone present.

The night is young, and the possibilities feel as endless as the stars outside the viewport.

Shan's arrival did not come with some of the fanfare of the others. He piloted a small shuttle of his own to the Ragnarok, having taken it from the Diarchy Naval Academy to attend the meeting. He had dismissed the pilot and any security personnel, content in the knowledge he would be among some of the best security afforded in this region of space.

The shuttle touched down in the hangar of the Ragnarok, and Pellian disembarked, pulling his customary black gloves over his hands as he looked around at those already present. It was a good showing so far. Spotting two two Diarchs, Pellian quickly made his way over to them, snapping to attention and offering them a salute.

"My Lords," Shan said, "it is a pleasure to see you both." Turning his gaze to look at Lyssara, the architect of the vessel, Shan gave her a respectful now. "My compliments Lyssara Thrynn, you have crafted a truly impressive vessel for the Diarchy Navy."

The commander himself came to visit the little party I improvised for our faction. When I see his ship arriving, I feel a bit nervous. I perform a military salute to follow protocol, my hand raised in greeting. I listen to what he says to me and feel honored to receive so many compliments from him.

I politely bow my head to acknowledge the compliments, then straighten up with a smile.

"Welcome aboard, Commander. It's a pleasure to have you here. Thank you, and I hope you'll enjoy what this little gem of technology has to offer."

With that, I decide to step aboard to join the others on the main deck no need to keep them waiting too long. If others wish to arrive, there's still room in the hangars. Finding the way to the main deck shouldn't be too difficult. I make my way toward the main deck, taking a moment to greet Nyva.

"Well done today. Thank you for your participation; you're free to enjoy the party like everyone else."

"Th-thank you, Mistress. It's an honor that you allow me here."

I nod slightly with a small smile. She takes a glass of champagne, and I do the same. Then I accompany the commander to the deck. I head toward the main viewport to gaze out at space with a smile, because I know what's about to happen.

However, a cold sweat runs down my back as I think about the risk of what I'm about to do. Indeed, playing with the laws of physics is not without danger.

For now, though, the moment is for celebration and festivities. I look at the small group of people gathered here just for me, and I'm happy they all came to party with me. I raise my glass in their direction and give a short speech.

"My dear friends, thank you all for coming tonight. Today is a great day—I'm going to show you what science can offer us, and it's going to be magnificent. You welcomed me here, and now it's my turn to show you the results I promised. Have fun—that's an order. Yes, enjoy a wonderful evening and take full advantage of everything Ragnarok has to offer."

I begin to drink from my glass, taking a good sip of champagne. After all, that's what we're here for.

After being greeted by his apprentice and her assistants Rellik would notice her more festive outfit and the maids presentation as well. Thinking that it was nice to see her stepping into her own person, entourage and all. The three exchanged one last dance of introductions as the Diarch moved to the main deck.

The Taste of champagne and the air of jubilation were sweet. As the Diarchy had grown Rellik himself had as well. Originally he struggled to move from the vicious teachings of his father. Now, all his years of training with sly comments and ill-mannered gesturing towards Reign in his youth had molded him into a rather jovial leader of their faction. His praising of people had turned rather consistent of late. Maybe it was genuine appreciation he had for the people he had come to know that had turned him this way.

For now, the spirit of great festivity was in the air and the time for intricate introspection was over. His brother had arrived, along with him his nieces and sister in law. Once they approached the Co-Head Reign had some kinds words of affirmation.
"Father would be proud of what we have done brother
and I hope you are proud of your apprentice"
The statement lingering in his mind. As thoughts of their Father tended to do for both Diarchs. Helping re-affirm that he was not just a killer but a true ruler among his people. Both of them had grown into statesmen, masters, family, and Diarch in their own ways.

In response to Reign, Rellik moved his arm in a showing of the area around him.
"How can I not be, truly beyond just the sleek design and refined craftsmanship. She has already seemed to take command of her crew. It seems on a more personal level and from a leadership role. She is well on her way to a seat on the High Council at this rate. I thank you in the praise for my role in her growth. She is exceptional, that much I am sure of."

The Diarch would spend his time harassing his nieces and showing off his apprentices ship until the High Admiral arrived. Upon when he did he offered the Diarchs a salute. Rellik giving him a bow in return. "And you as well Shan." he said in response to his greeting.

Lyssara had arrived on the deck with the Admiral. Glass of champagne in her hands, she raises it and gives a welcoming toast. Rellik would take her up on the advice. Letting Varis know to call for him when the time for the final banquet was ready and informing Onyx to stand at the viewing bay waiting to record. He than ran up to his nieces.
"Do you two want to come check out the lab, workshop, and amenities with me?!" off they went until the event started.

The party is in full swing aboard the ship; the Ragnarok is about to make its entrance. Nyva signals to me that the shot is ready to be fired.

I then turn to my assembly, I extend my hands towards the panoramic window to take a theatrical pause. I take a deep breath to prepare for a speech to show them the power of the ship we have at our disposal. For this show of force, I have summoned them to the middle of nowhere, and it's no coincidence. Indeed, the destructive power is such that it could cause considerable damage it would be a pity to have unintended breakages on its first use.

"Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds."

I gesture to Nyva; she initiates the firing sequence and an alarm sounds throughout the ship. I then put on my protective glasses so as not to be dazzled by the immense light that is about to erupt, and I wait for the torpedo to reach its target. I had to program it at a good distance to ensure we wouldn't be caught in the blast.

Five minutes later, an immense flash of light resounds, illuminating all the surrounding space like a star, so bright it is. The anti-radiation shield is going haywire, but normally I have configured it so that we are safe. After the immense flash of light, a gigantic explosion worthy of a nuclear bomb bursts forth in space in a spherical manner, sending gamma waves in all directions.

The size of the bomb I have deployed is quite powerful as I needed to show them what Ragnarok is capable of. My aim here is to sell this weapon to the faction. My smile widens at the sight of the explosion; I can't help but think about the number of victims we could cause with this. In space, the shockwave doesn't propagate because there's no air, thus the impact is less. However, the size of the antimatter nuclear bomb is such that I can easily destroy a station with it.

I watch the radiation spread in all directions, creating a very pleasant cloud of color to behold. The bomb eventually dissipates, and I then turn towards those watching the spectacle. the rendering of the explosion is spectacular.

"You have given me a military infrastructure, and this is what I have done with it. Today, I promised you results to admire the power of sacred fire. Thanks you Brother and sister of the diarchy. Nyhahahahaha."

After delivering this brief speech, I take a sip of champagne to savor my victory. I remove my sunglasses; I think the party, after this little fireworks show, is going to take a different turn. With such a weapon at my disposal, I need to instill fear in my opponents, and no doubt, they will be frightened.

The flash and subsequent explosion surprised the Diarch. He’d been tangentially aware of the project from spending reports and regular conversations with his brother, but the end result was something extraordinary.

As the blowback battered the ship, the Diarch’s mind raced. The uses of this weapon were limitless, but ran a very tight risk. Making note to speak with Rellik about the proposed applications, he turned to his brother’s apprentice.

Excellent work my friend, your work is truly impressive. I look forward to the continued developments of the R&D department. You should be proud.”

He turned his gaze back to the remains of the explosion. He spoke again softly, more to himself than Lyssara.

“I will follow your career with great interest”

Rellik arrived with his nieces at the perfect time. Varis and Onyx giving him fair warning that the spectacle was about to take place. As he did Lyssara's hand moved to the panoramic window. Rellik took this moment to put the protective glasses handed out earlier on himself and his nieces.

Alarms blare, after several minutes of anticipation from everyone aboard a torpedo launches from the Ragnarok. A huge explosion, my instincts taking over and putting the children slightly behind me. The sheer volume of the blast takes up everyone's entire view. The radius is gigantic and the gamma waves can be seen dispersing everywhere.

The cloud of color was truly an amazing spectacle. The people aboard collectively letting out slight wows all together. Except for the more dedicated and stern members.

Lyss gives a slight speech thanking us for the ability to create such a woman. "You have done well with the tools provided. Congratulations Lyssara!" He removed his sunglasses and lifted his champagne in a toast. "To the Diarchy! To winning the last war!"
