Discussion Weekly Writing Prompts

Hey folks, I've recently gotten on the train of writing short stories via a weekly prompt. I think it'd be cool to do something like that here to grow my characters, so I'm going to share prompts in case anyone is interested in partaking. Most prompts will be geared towards solo threads or short story articles, but feel free to do what you will with them!

Week of Feb. 1st prompts

1. Write a story that begins: That was the last I/we ever heard of him/her.

2. Write a story that features a visit to an alien marketplace.

3. Write about your character participating in one of their hobbies.

I fell off of this while dealing with some IRL stuff, but here we go again!

1. Your character can't wake up from a dream; write what happens in said dream.

2. Write a story that starts with your character admitting a secret and ends with them telling a lie.

3. Unexpected guest(s) show up to your character's place in the middle of the night.
