Weekend Treasure Hunt 23: A Fistful of Denarii

Ke'Cholo crawled out of a vent in a place he did not expect to end up. ''Some time gettin' in 'ere'' He dropped down to some sort of upper platform, he slowly walked forward and looked down to find a huge creature in extremely elegant but extremely damaged armor, this creature had an outstretched flipper to a boy. They appeared to be making some sort of an agreement, ''De hell am I at?'' he asked the two with his own weapon drawn ''This isn't the command center...''

The Padawan watches carefully, his grey eyes seeming to never leave the Herglic as he watched as he retrieved the supposed Hapan gun. He didn't know what it was, well, he didn't know what it did other than shoot something out of it -- I mean, that's what all blasters and guns did right?

The ebony haired male shrugs his shoulders when asked, but it seemed more of a rhetoric than an actual question. Whilst he continued to speak, Haytham's mind wandered and figured he'd want the Padawan to do some ghastly thing to the female prison they had taken. But no, oh was he surprised when he was suddenly faced with the blaster pointed in his direction.

In the first moment that he was struck by the electromagnetic wave, he felt as if he couldn't move. It was like he was incapable of summoning the strength to move his leg -- No, it was more akin to having forgotten how to move his body. In the recesses of his mind he was already grasping at any shred of anger he could manage, but he didn't know why. It was as if he expected the order to come and the words echoed in his mind as almost instantaneously he upon the suppressed tendrils of the Dark Side that were within him.

Akin to a dam being released, he shattered the barrier that held back his darkest passions and desires and was consumed by them, relishing in it as he bathed within the Dark Side. Feeling a burning sensation within his eyes, he grapsed his face as he felt the light side be cast out as if he were possessed, his body trembling with the power as his rage slowly consumed him. Unknowingly, his grey gaze slowly transitioned from their aforementioned colour to one of his a glowing yellow, corruption of the Dark Side streaking through them, corruption that he was certain he had cast away after combating that one Sith Knight.

He breathed heavily as he collapsed to all fours, his hands clenching at the durasteel flooring, grasping at anything he could but finding nothing but flattened ground...

Ke'Cholo knew what he saw.
The bars of the vents held many thing back but not sound and sight.
Ke'Cholo climbed down from the platform onto the floor of the hanger.
A Jedi Padawan fetched a nice bounty and Ke'Cholo had every intention of killing him.
Walking up to the child, two Geonosians climbed out of the same vent Ke'Cholo had come from. With a few clicks of his tongue, Ke'Cholo spoke some rough Geonosian telling the two brothers what he had saw.
Ke'Cholo stood over [member="Haytham Kaze"] pointed his heavy blaster pistol at the boy's head and pulled the trigger. He found it almost impossible that the child would have any way to avoid this blast at point blank range, whatever had overcame him had crippled him to the point of exhaustion.

Fathomless eyes filled with cold satisfaction as the young padawan let the hatred flow through him. Another acolyte to the cause. This was at it should be. We sacrifice the light for the shadow. We burn our better natures so that we might wield unholy power with which to shape worlds.

Sudden movement drew the Sith Lord's attention. One enormous, armored flipper reached out, seized the interloper's pistol, and crushed it with inhuman strength. Orcus' other flipper backhanded one of the Geonosians, slamming him into the wall with a sickly wet crack. His broken thorax spewed green-yellow ichor. The last Geonosian turned toward Orcus, but stuttered to a stop as Orcus shot him with the Gun of Command.

A flipper pointed toward @Ke'Cholo. "Kill him," Orcus ordered.

The Geonosian launched itself toward the interloper, helplessly obeying the command.

As the scuffle receded deeper into the bowels of station, Orcus looked back to the fallen padawan, who now trembled within the grip of the Dark Side.

"Let the hatred of the weak consume you. Let the terror of death fuel your powers. Draw upon your emotions and forge yourself anew. Dark, for we knowingly abandon the light. Forsaken, for we will betray those we love. Mighty, for we will destroy those who stand against the greater good. Hauum. The young eagle is dead. Arise from his ashes, Darth Soranus."

Orcus turned toward the airlock. "Together, we can fashion wonders."

The Herglic gestured to [member="Graze"] and the captive Hapan. "Call the ship, we leave at once."

Not expecting this odd and daring move, Ke'Cholo's reaction time was cut in half as T'Kak his loyal follower was splattered against the airlock wall and K'Tak suddenly attacked him. Barely able to move, Ke'Cholo hip fired with his other pistol into the attacking Geonosian's leg crippling him to the ground. ''Listen here arsehole'' Ke'Cholo began, raising the pistol aiming it at [member="Hion the Herglic"] 's head. ''We work for the same cause'' he continued ''I don't know what kind of force chit was going on 'ere but all I saw was a bounty for the One Sith. So here's what's going to happen, you're going to undo whatever the hell this is'' Ke'Cholo motioned to the wounded Geonosian who, moments earlier, attacked him. ''And then'' he continued ''You're gonna use some more of that force chit to heal him'' Ke'Cholo motioned to the other Geonosian, motionless, by the wall who was still gurgling ichor ''And if you don't'' Ke'Cholo said, his eyes seeming to pierce into the soul of the Herglic ''I'll relocate ya' brains to the wall behind you''

If he had inhuman strength and the nails to do it, he would've torn apart the durasteel flooring beneath him. Breathing heavily, despite his seemingly incapacitated state, he still heard the other being climbing down from the apparent platform and down to meet him. With his mind distracted, his golden eyes, wavering between grey and yellow spotted as the geonosians came down. He didn't move yet, but in his throes from the Dark Side consuming him, he felt the pain from his shattered wrist as his senses slowly came back to him.

Misjudging the time it would've taken the geonasian to cross the short distance to him, Haytham saw boots stop right in front of him, and after the geonasian had seemingly decided he was a Jedi Padawan based off of appearance, even though he thought he looked nothing like he did when he was a Padawan. The Force warned him of the intent of the Geonosian, but he didn't move. Teeth clenching, he heard the clatter of the blaster and the sounds of a quick scuffle, but still he didn't rise up yet.

Groaning, he let his left hand hang loosely at his side, not caring for the pain that seemed to intensify every moment.

Moments passed and the order to arise came, but by then he was nearly finished standing away, and his right fist clenched into a tight fist, his nails digging into his palms as his teeth grinded upon each other.

Lunging backwards with the aid of the Force, the figure of Haytham Kaze passed through the airlock with [member="Graze"] and [member="Hion the Herglic"] as the ship arrived.

@Ke'Cholo

[member="Haytham Kaze"] and [member="Hion the Herglic"] had escaped. ''No matter'' Ke'Cholo told himself. He ran over to the wounded Geonosian by the wall and instantly starting repairing what he could with the few medpacks he had. The Geonosian's had a broken spine, punctured lung, and several broken bones. The only way he would get decent medical treatment was on Geonosis. Ke'Cholo used the bandages on hand to stop what bleeding he could and somewhat patched the gaping hole in his chest. With a few button presses on his arm pad, his own ship, a large freighter would arrive and open its door revealing two medical droids Ke'Cholo had on hand, activated by his co-pilot Qaeth. One of the droids would pick up the still struggling Geonosian who was under the effects of a gun of command. Ke'Cholo and the other droid would carry the more seriously wounded Geonosian on board.

''Jump to Geonosis Qaeth'' Ke'Cholo yelled, not knowing whether Qaeth was at the controls or not ''We need to see some doctors.''

Once aboard the Niathal, the remnants of the Darkwater strike team, with the addition of a captive and a turn coat, jumped to hyperspace. After some time, they met up with a second shuttle, where Dark Water Security and Hegemonic Automaton personnel escorted the prisoner onto the other craft. Graze followed to oversee.

Orcus might have been a gambler, but he did not do so foolishly. The newly christened Soranus might be harboring mixed feelings over his recruitment, perhaps biding his time until he could turn on Orcus and rescue the captive Hapan. Thus, steps were taken to prevent this eventuality. The Hapan went with Graze to a secure location on the second shuttle, while Orcus and the youth returned to Darkwater Security's well-known headquarters on Lianna.

Fin.
