Faction Wealth of Knowledge [Keepers of the Sith Code/Zugurak Artificers | PM to join]

Setting: Shortly after Darth Voyance's secession from the Empire.

Derleth's grip loosened around the bound Mon Calamari's neck as the Sith Keepers stepped off the shuttle into the heat of Krayiss Two. It was imperative that he didn't kill the fish before they found the Library Temple. The Keepers had come for a variety of reasons, each their own. Derleth had come for two: First was the fish that limped in front of him, who would be an experiment once Derleth had found his second item of interest. He hoped the library housed a particular book: The unfinished yet seminal work of Darth Sidious titled The Creation of Monsters. He had prepared for a great deal of time longer than he normally would for such a mission, but this mission would be a great deal harder than normal. With Darth Voyance's instruction, Derleth was certain that access to the Library would be acquired but the difficulty was still to be determined. This mission could be Derleth's greatest work if all went accordingly.

The Sith Keepers trekked through the arid landscape before coming to the obelisk which held their entrance. The monolithic black stone stood glistening in the bright sun. A hundred meters out from the obelisk he stopped, and motioned for the others to stop as well. A pit of sand lay between them and the stone, just as they expected. This was the first challenge of the temple. He broke the silence of the journey, "This is a blood ritual. It may not look like much, but if Darth Voyance's instructions were right then we'll likely encounter trouble without performing it. Any of you that have objections should return to the ship. Those of you who wish to wrest control of Sith knowledge from the unworthy hands of the Emperor," He slipped a small knife from his belt while he spoke and made a small slit in the tip of his finger, letting the blood drip into the sand. "I give you this." he passed the knife into the group so they could perform the ritual. "Steel yourselves for this journey. When we come out of that library we will have its wealth of knowledge, and the Emperor will not."

If the blood ritual worked they wouldn't have to deal with the supposed guardian, but they were far from done once they reached obelisk...

Was that really necessary? Kentarch thought to himself as Darth Vinaze Darth Vinaze strangled the life from the Mon Calamarian.

"You know I destroyed the first library. I know where it is." He pointed out, but he was met with silence.

Before the keepers exited the shuttle the Sith Lord slipped a communicator into his pocket. He was effectively at this point one of the top three most wanted people within the Sith Empire. He was betting that soon he would be in second as droves of Sith flocked to the banner of Darth Voyance Darth Voyance . In the days that followed the gathering in the Ascendant Hall, the emperor had begun a campaign of purging those he believed disloyal. Many were listed as 'Apostates' those who did not follow the 'Rule of Order'. Although being a hunted man, he knew that several of those Apostates were likely agents of the Empire acting undercover. Some of these Apostates organized themselves in 'The Keepers', and Kentarch aligned with them if it meant the downfall of the current empire. For now their movements and arrival unknown to the Empire.

None the less Kentarch followed the Keepers as they trekked through the arid landscape. Next time we can land a little closer... But this was not his operation, so he said nothing. Believe it or not, he was here to gather intelligence, and not to blow the place sky-high. If he could get inside without setting off any alarms, he could possibly get his hands on game-changing information. Eventually, the group came upon the black monolithic stone that marked the hiding place of the Krayiss II library. Derleth drew a knife and asked for blood.

Kentarch stepped forward with his own knife, made a small cutting motion on his opposing hand and let the blood drip into the sand. He spoke the words of the ritual and stepped back, his gaze shifting to Derleth, and then the rest of the group. His body language reflected reluctance. But he would 'play' at these challenges for now.

Derelth knew full well that Darth Kentarch Darth Kentarch had been here. He knew full well that Kentarch was a top member of the Keepers. That was why he remained silent. He had a great deal of respect for the Sith Lord. He had immense respect for anyone that had come out of the Ascendent Hall on the side of Darth Voyance. But he wanted this to be his time in the sun, his time to prove his worth to the Keepers. On Krayiss Two it would be that time both symbolically and literally, as the the harsh sun beat upon them.

With the blood ritual complete, he took his first step into the sand. Like Voyance had told him, nothing happened. He began to trek towards the obelisk. Nothing. He sensed that the others felt the same way as him, that they should've landed closer. He had expected more resistance in all honesty. The obelisk, finally in reach, rose above them and granted them much needed shade. Umbaran's weren't built for worlds like these, In the shade he was able to pull his hood down momentarily.

The next challenge was simple enough. They had to recite a code-phrase in Ur-Kittat. Derleth's Ur-Kittat was... broken. Broken enough that he wished not to recite it in front of the others. He leaned his back against the obelisk and looked at Darth Kentarch. "My Lord? Would you do us the honor of opening the next door? I'll admit my Sith may be too rusty for this challenge." he said gesturing up to the obelisk behind him.
