  • Image Source: Combination of Robert Chew's Facebook and DeviantArt "Big Five" albums.
  • Canon Link: None
  • Restricted Missions: None
  • Primary Source: None
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • Manufacturer: Imani Corp.
  • Model: Way'ego-Class Patrol Droid
  • Production: Mass-Produced
  • Affiliation:Open-Market
  • Modularity: The Way'ego-class Patrol Droid was extremely modular and easy to repair. Similar to the Kufu, teeth and claws could be swapped out for stronger materials, the light weight frame was able to be changed, armor plating, and even the on board sensors and transievers could be swapped for after market items.
  • Material:
    Terenthium-Desh Alloy
  • Durasteel - Limbs armored and jaw reinforced.
  • Servos
  • Droid Components
  • Cloth-based "Fur"

TECHNICAL INFORMATION
  • Classification: Fourth Degree
  • Weight: 38 Kg
  • Height: 1 Meter at the Shoulder
  • Movement: Quadrupedal; Repulsorlift Assisted
  • Armaments:
Blaster - Mouth - Disabled by Default
  • Retractable Claws
  • Retractable Teeth

[*]Misc. Equipment:
  • Olfactory Sensors
  • Electrobinocular Vision
  • Video and Audio Recording
  • Gabonna Memory Crystal
  • Audio Amplifier
  • Voice Modulator - Canine Sounds
  • Micro Solar Panels
  • Multi-Vision Photoreceptors

SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Heuristic Processor : Allows for the droid to learn over time, giving each droid a more personalized experience and allowing the droid to complete more complex tasks over time.
  • Data Converter/Transmitter: Allows the droid to process and transfer data collected to various droid coordination devices and other Imani Corp droids.
Strengths:
  • Jaw Lock: Way'ego-Class Patrol Droids utilize a combination of servos and magnetic locks to lock down jaws when command to, providing a magnetized bite that locks its jaw around whatever its biting. Its probably easier to separate its head from the body and deal with the clamped down head later
  • Lightweight: Fast enough to outrun most sentient being or animal and even sometimes keep up with speederbikes and swoops with to its repulsorlift-assisted running, the lightweight frame of the Way'ego is what makes it possible to chase down runaway thieves.
Weaknesses:
  • Double Tap: One or two full powered shots from a handheld blaster is enough to put these robot dogs down.
  • Hacked: Without extensive modification, the mass produced model of the Way'ego suffers from the same issue as most of Imani Corp's mass produced products. Its data transmitter is easily hacked, making it possible for slicers to hack one droid and infect an entire pack or even jump back to the coordination device and hack that whether it be a coordinatiton staion or one of Imani Corp's portable droid coordinators.
  • Ion/EMP Weapons: As a mass produced droid made for the every day Zanji, the Way'ego is easily stunned or put down by stun blasts, ion weaponry, or EMPs.
DESCRIPTION
The Way'ego-class Patrol Droid is a mass produced model of their more advanced Wendigo-Class Droid. Designed to be light, quick and powerful enough for limited protection and companionship, the Way'ego saw much more popularity than the Wendigo on Zanj due to its likeness to a loyal pet. It was popular with farm hands who could cheaply replace parts or easily fix the droid themselves as it followed a similar architecture to the Kufu-Monkey Droid and several other older designs. However, its simplicity and cheapness also make it a favorite of bandits, raiders, and poachers who use them for guarding their camps and supporting them during raids on small villages.

Similarly to the Kufu Monkey droid, the Way'ego's personality matrix was made to imitate a variety of behaviors found in Zanj's wild dogs. However, unlike the Kufu, because of its lack of a biomass converter as its battery pack begins to fail and its memory core is not defragmented periodically the droid can undergo a process called Rampancy, an unintended side-effect of the advanced heuristic processor in the droid brain of these droids. After Rampancy begins it cannot be undone and the droid must be deactivated as the corrupted files can transfer from Way'ego to Way'ego and sometimes even to other Imani Corp droids and systems. While Rampant droids aren't much a problem in bustling cities and successful towns, they provide a unique challenge in the deep savanna and other places with limited populations or abandoned towns and bases. Rampant droids are incredibly dangerous and have overcome all of their safety protocols causing them to attack pretty much any other moving thing in sight other than other rampant droids.

Imani Corp has been trying to figure out how to keep the authenticity of their droids intact while also removing the rampancy threat from its processors.

I think Imani Corp is supposed to go here.

If you could remove "any" from this sentence please. Why it's probably true that it can catch most organics on foot, there are always exceptions to the rule.

The Way'ego-class Patrol Droid is a mass produced model of their more advanced XxX.
Is the XxX an actual droid? Or is this a placeholder? If it's an actual droid that's already approved, I'd recommend linking to it.
