Coruscant - Inside Holly Starstorms Office

Holly was sitting at the desk getting ready to make a video call. Today she was interviewing a very young CEO remotely. The questions should be fairly straight forward and would appear on a podcast she was producing.

She took a deep breath and dialed the number. The video monitor beeped and Holly waited for the receiver to answer.

[Taji Nelson]

When he got a call for some reason via the Holo Net, Taji answered it.

"Yes?" He hadn't expected someone to call him yet. He was currently in his workshop working on a suit of powered armor that he had been designing. The armor was a pet project of his that he needed for a future task of the Thieves Guild.

"What's the purpose of your call?" He hadn't been expecting an interview in the slightest.

“Uh yes Mr. Nelson, my name is Holly Starstorm. I work with HNN. I believe we have an interview scheduled?”

She frowned and realized he did not seem ready at all.

“I set it up with your office aid. Is now a bad time?”

[Taji Nelson]

"A perfect time actually. I was just working in the lab. Lost track of time. " He admitted. He then quickly went off screen for a moment. When he came back he was wearing a fancy business suit that was green and gold. The suit was also made out of some of the highest quality materials that could be obtained. "I'm ready for our interview now." He said, a smile on his face. "Sorry, I love to work on technology. It's somewhat an obsession of mine."

“Is your love of technology what inspired you to become a CEO? Why don’t you tell our listeners about your company?”

Holly wasted no time jumping right into the interview. She lived for stories so she was excited to get this one.

"I've always had a love of science, and technology. Growing up on the world of Denon I barely had much, but tried to invent creative ways for the people who weren't blessed with the Diamond Studded Hovercars, and other things to survive. I eventually decided with the help of my brothers that I should use my knack for invention to benefit the galaxy. And here we are." said Taji. It was the truth - for the most part. He was leaving out that being the CEO of Nelson Prototyping was a cover for the thing he did for the most part, being the Headmaster of the Thieves Guild. There was something he wouldn't confess on the record in the slightest.

"My company is branching out into medical technologies, and trying to branch out into a lot of fields. It is good at Powered Armor Technology though not a single suit has been marketed. I have made numerous strides in Non Lethal Technologies, although until I deem them safe, I'm not releasing the more powerful items to the public, Holly."

Another pause was done by him. "So, do you have any other questions?"

Holly was typing notes as they talked. She quickly scanned her screen and nodded, seeming satisfied.

"So you grew up with very little on a complex world like Denon. How did you get the start up funds for your company? "

Leave it to Holly to start sniffing things out.

"Worked my butt off, sold some inventions." said Taji. It was true. "Between that, and money supplied from my brothers who were already off world, well, Nelson Prototyping came to fruition. None of them wanted to be the CEO, so they allowed me to do that."

He then paused for but a moment. "Anyway, what else do you want to know about?" asked Taji. He was thinking of how he could do this interview without the information

“You said you are going to break into health aspects? Would you like to talk about that?”

Holly could tell he needed direction so she figured she would try to guide him.

“Just tell me anything you want the public to know about your company. Think of this as an open forum where you can give any information you want.”

 

[Taji Nelson]

Taji thought it over. "Currently, I'm working on nanotechnology designed to target and eliminate nasty little viruses before they can cause the bodies of anyone any trouble. Unfortunately, they're still in the developmental phases, and I don't expect to see real progress given it is my first foray into such sciences." He said. "I'm also soon going to be making prosthetic technologies for mass production, as well as vehicles. "

He started to ramble a bit. "I'm also working, well, trying to figure out how to build a teleporter."

"The science behind such eludes me at present."

"I'm also going to be working on Hard Light Technology soon enough, and custom materials for my company."

"Plus something more potent than Coffee for all the Coffee Addicts."

“It sounds like you are very active in the product development portion of the company. Do you work with scientists? What areas are you not as active in? Where do you see yourself in ten years? “

She probably had enough information to end the interview but Holly believed in covering all the basics.

 

[Taji Nelson]

"I see myself with a galaxy spanning corporation in a wide range of fields. Just yesterday my company has managed to do something good for the galaxy at large. The murder of Mandalorians done by the Sith Empire has opened a need for Beskar. "

He paused. "So, I developed an invention that can produce a synthetic Beskar for the galaxy at large that is more affordable than the original of the substance. It's not quite as good yet as the original, but I'm working on the material."

"Would you like me to make you something out of the material?" asked Taji.

The mandalorian substance was a good angle for her story and Holly was happy as she jotted down her notes.

“Oh no thank you. I think I have enough to publish the story now. I really want to thank you for your time. I will send you a copy when it comes out. It should be a few weeks. “

She finished her notes and closed the .
