Description: Designed on Bakura, the ship that would go on to become the Watcher-class Corvette began as a modest exploration craft. Lightly armed, it’s preferred method of fighting was to be faster than the other ship. To that end, the ship is designed with a pair of massive engines that take up nearly a quarter of the ship’s internal space.
When the Protectorate sent out requests to third-party manufacturers, the Bakuran’s design won handedly for its speed. Adding to that, the Protectorate installed numerous sensor suites, such as mass detectors, magnetic tracers, gaseous diffusers, as well as jamming suites befitting a ship whose role is to get in, get pictures, and get out. The end result is a lightning fast scout ship that can patrol ahead of the fleet and gather information before bugging out.
