Intent: To stat out a modernized version of the canonical 1000-year-old Firefly-class transport, as here. http://starwars.wiki...-bulk_transport
Development Thread: No. Requested/commissioned in this thread: http://starwarsrp.ne...gned-built-too/
Manufacturer: Silk Holdings
Model: Washburn-class Medium Transport
Affiliation: Various
Modularity: None
Production: Mass-produced
Material: Durasteel hull
Description: The antiquated Firefly-class is a durable but unexceptional design, but nearly a millennium of wear and tear has reduced every existing Firefly-class vessel to scrap and partial blueprints. When contracted to remake the antiquated Firefly-class, Jorus Merrill -- Silk Holdings' specialist in ugly freighters -- attempted to remain faithful to the original design in terms of aesthetics and capacity.
In all honesty, he probably put more work into the project than it deserved. The resulting vessel, dubbed Washburn-class after a legendary pilot of the original class of ship, is as unexceptional as the original model. The ugly little ship is unsuited for combat, due to a lack of weapons and an exposed drive housing. In most places, its armor is sufficient to repel debris, micrometeoroids and light weapons fire.
A single main cargo bay is, perhaps, too tall to be efficient for most unstacked cargoes. Housed above the bay, two very small, lightly armed freight loader vessels provide some transportation flexibility.
Classification: Transport
Role: Freight hauler
Height: 24m
Width: 52m
Length: 82m
Power Core Generator/Reactor: Solar Ionization Reactor
Hyperdrive Rating: 3
Minimum Crew: 1
Optimal Crew: 5
Armaments: N/A
Hangar:
Cargo Capacity: 82.5 tons
Consumables: 6 months
Sublight Speed and Maneuverability: Class 4.5
