War Lilies are a bizarre flora that either evolved in or was transplanted to various Dark Side nexuses in the Stygian Caldera. Pockets of the plants have since spread to less contaminated areas, but they remain a relatively rare sight. Attempts have been made to extract and weaponise their spores, but this is easier said than done - preserving their efficacy without having to rely on Sith Alchemy and the like is quite the challenge.
Some botanists have argued that the flowers should be categorised as semi-sentient due to the complexity of their behaviour (despite increasing aggression, there are no recorded instances of bioforms influenced by the spores taking out their anger on the War Lilies themselves). This claim is supported by certain telepaths, as the plants have been recorded to 'scream "peace was never an option"' in response to telepathic probing.
Most remain dismissive of these claims, however; it is generally held that the plants simply act as a 'feedback loop' for aggression.

These plants take between 3 and 5 years to reach their full size when grown under optimal environmental conditions. - Viability: War Lilies require a modest amount of water and a decent amount of sunlight.
