So I'm toying with the idea of creating an alchemized magic wand, which will be a weapon i.e. shoots fire or something elemental.

My question is this: would it fall under ranged weapons or basic technology?

if you are shooting things with it generally ranged. if we are talking an object that just enhances their natural force skill like a vahla or a shaper could be in general

Now that sounds like a fun Witch tool. Could be imbued technology, where there could be a few and may have 'one or more of the following Force powers imbued'?

Or just make a wand of fireball.
