Chalacta was a beautiful place and the praxeum was something she had found interesting to say in the least. She was checking only to see if whoever had insulted her daughter had come... she hadn't expected a padawan to ask to be trained by her and she had tested him. The amusement alone was worth it as she remained there. Gliding through the air just above the floor with her bare feet and sleeveless robes. The grandmaster slipped forward in the praxeum hall. "Come padawan Venn." She offered it with a smile though while going and her hands were clasped at the small of her back as she approached one of the doors letting it open as the hallway beyond most had entered from had shifted. The Annex coming when she connected the anchor of the doorway to it. With lines of archives and artifacts that she had set up going on in the pocket.

"To the annex." She looked for a moment but let him follow her while she was moving within and there were Arisen biots walking around. The caretakers she had built for the temples while they stood tall and ready similar to Hanna. SHe led the way for Kael to come in and follow as she was speaking. "This is the annex, a section of the grand library we constructed for the jedi. Able to be accessed across the galaxies. It is a storehouse of a lifetime of my collected knowledge and research as well as several dozen other archives and endeavors to expand and preserve knowledge of the jedi. The Arisen maintaining it are friendly but they are also duty bound to protect it and the artifacts that have been stored here. There are also anchorpoints to nearly one hundred temples, enclaves and planets that the Silver Jedi and jedi at large are able to operate from."

She said it while she continued and the annex continued going before opening up into the larger sections. Stored ships that they had brought in, holocrron, weapons and artifacts but also larger banks of data. "With many of the expansions that we have done we have started to record and observe other places. Some older then many understand but we have studied the je'daii archives and older Republic jedi to understand a few more things. So your off hours can be filled with a lot but a padawan of mine is only expected to learn and we never stop."

Kael followed in silence at first, his boots barely whispering against the polished floor as he stepped into the shifting threshold of the annex. His eyes moved—not wildly, not like a child overwhelmed, but with a quiet, deliberate hunger. He felt it before he truly saw it… the weight of knowledge, the presence of history layered upon itself like sediment in the Force.

His gaze passed over the Arisen, studying their movements, the precision in their purpose. Not machines. Not quite beings either. Something… intentional. Constructed with will behind them.
Kael clasped his hands behind his back, mirroring her posture unconsciously as he walked a half-step behind

“You said I’m only expected to learn…” Kael turned his head slightly toward her, his expression calm but intent. “Then I’ll ask this plainly, Master.”
He paused before asking his question.

“What is it you believe the Jedi have misunderstood… that all of this is meant to correct?”
There was no defiance in the question. No challenge. Only focus.

Only the quiet, persistent need to understand—not just what the Jedi were, but what they were supposed to be..

Misunderstood? She looked at him for a moment and spoke with humor. "Misunderstood, oh padawan." She said it and it wasn't condescendingly, it wasn't like a teacher or a parent. It was bemused but more like she hadn't heard it before. "This isn't to correct some grand error or misunderstanding. This is to preserve, to grow and evolve. If those who forget the past are doomed to repeat it, what does it say for those who neither look towards what they can do nor what has come before. Just stagnate and remain still?" She said it but looked at him. "We aaren';t fixing thing... well we aare in some ways. We fix and rebuild temples, equipment and ships."

Kael didn’t answer immediately.
He let her words settle—not just in his mind, but in the quiet current of the Force around them. There was truth there, layered and deliberate, not something meant to be countered quickly. When he finally spoke, his tone was calm, but firmer than before.

“Then it isn’t about being misunderstood,” he said, tilting his head slightly, eyes steady on hers. “It’s about intention.”
He took a slow step forward, hands resting loosely at his sides.
“Preservation without reflection becomes reverence. And reverence… can become blindness.” His gaze drifted briefly, as if tracing echoes only he could feel. The past has value—I don’t deny that. But it also carries weight. Mistakes. Failures. Choices made by people who believed they were right.”

His attention returned to her, sharper now.
“If we rebuild everything as it was, follow every teaching as it was written, then we aren’t evolving. We’re inheriting.”
A small pause.
“And inheritance can be just as dangerous as ignorance.”
Kael exhaled softly, though there was no frustration in it—only conviction.
“You’re right. Stagnation is death. But so is clinging too tightly to what came before.” His brow lowered slightly, not in defiance, but in thought. “Growth requires friction. Questioning. Even… disagreement.”
A faint, almost wry hint of a smile touched his expression.
He met her gaze evenly. “Maybe I’m here to challenge what we think is already understood.”

Her eyebrows rose in a sort of bemusement with a grin. "Oh?" She asked it while staying there and brought her legs up to sit almost like she was going to gossip while sitting down... in the air. Still moving along with a look on her face though as she remained there. "What are you to challenge? You know some, I told you a few things but without the context traversing force planes is dangerous. Even worse still having the knowledge without the context provides something even more dangerous. It is why I sought understanding and to know where things failed or fell in some aspects. Why I have worked to improve many of the early training and aspects. Our Matrons aid many of the padawans are receiving many lessons to better facilitate their growth. It also teaches them to better resist the temptation of the darkside and the danger that comes from that."

Kael listened quietly, his posture straight though his expression softened with thought. He did not interrupt her, even when questions pressed at the edge of his mind.

“I understand the danger,” he said carefully. “At least… enough to know I do not understand it fully.”
A faint smile touched his face at that.

“But if knowledge without context is dangerous, then ignorance can be just as dangerous. Especially for Jedi.” His gaze lifted toward her hovering form. “We’re taught to face fear, not avoid it. To seek understanding, even when it’s difficult.”
He folded his hands behind his back.

“I do not wish to challenge your teachings, Master. Only myself. If these mysteries exist within the Force, then I want to learn how to approach them correctly… before someone else approaches them recklessly.”

She looked at him with a nod of her head while she was moving with some attention to the area around. "A good approach to it. We can always learn more. The real enjoyment though is this." She held her hands outwards. "Exploring has brought knowledge and there is a chance we have been able to construct a lot more. We built the celestial forge, for crafting jedi equipment. There is the development of the star temple... ahhh never go there. It is built as a false flag and serves like a confessional cell. Once a darksider enters looking for the holocrons and artifacts promised it activates. Same for the Medara that we used to hold dangerous artifacts and darksiders."
