Walls, Doors, Windows and Floors

Hmm.

"Yes."

"No."

"Yes..?"

"...No."

Hmm.

Boethiah put the holocron down, "fine." The high priest let out a pained sigh before going back to his station.

With his back turned the young witch grabbed the device and quickly walked off... Later she found herself planet side, another world on their journey; another stop. Here they would barter, unlike the last one where they simply took all they could and left several bodies in their wake.

Boethiah stretched with the holocron in hand, turning down one road until the crowd grew smaller.

Eventually it became nothing. A quiet alley with no one around, or at least no one in plain sight. Taking this opportunity she had, the woman sat herself down on the dusty path and began to struggle with the device. Unaware of its nature or how it operated, her nails gripped into the grooves but prying it proved useless.

How do you work? She wonders.

The woman of short stature made her way down the street quietly, flask in hand and red hair a mess in over face. Those around continued their usual business, though she ducked into the alley, a usual break spot for herself from fights. As she laid eyes on the other woman, she paused, closing her flask and taking slow step towards her.

"And what do you have there?" Inquisitive, she continued moving closer, in no way aggressive. Meanwhile her eyes darted between the holocron and the woman.

Boethiah turns to face the approaching Shelyn, the holocron in hand being brought over to her side.

Her unhidden face revealed black ink writing across her skin from forehead to chin, the language of which proved unusual and alien; definitely not galactic basic. The young witch's attire was simple: A robe and sandals, with no visible weapons or indication of them at all. "This?" She waggles the holocron in hand. "Do you know what it is?" She inquires, although to what reason she did not specify.

She didn't take a step back, nor did she appear threatened by Shelyn's approach.

Instead she stood there, and waited to see what came next.

"I don't, no, though it does appear quite interesting." She stepped closer, offering a hand to collect it and peer it over if she would allow.

Shelyn's own green eyes cut through the darkness in the alley, the flower in her hair matching the bright hue in a yellow way. In closeness her breath was laced with the faint backing of liquor, though in no way did she appear drunk.

With an extended arm forward, Boethiah's fingers released their clutch over the cubic device. It is metallic and at its heart a crystal glowing faint red.

"Give it a try," she insisted. The holocron offered no indications to how it operated, there were no buttons nor switches of any kind. It only gave off a force signature not unlike any other imbued object, yet unlike most it did not appear to have any obvious functions.

Assuming Shelyn grabbed the holocron, Boethiah steps back and observes the woman's actions.

As Shelyn takes the cube, she runs her hand across its surface, searching and scanning for any finger holds, latches, and other of the such, though settles with an attempt to begin to slide anything around on its surface that she can. While doing so she remains rather fixated on the crystal at the heart.

Her eyes glowed gently as she remained focused entirely on this process, seeming determined in every way to open this puzzle of sorts before her.

The holocron remained as plain as broad day, with no further signs of activation or mechanism to Shelyn's attention. It only continued to give off the force, and a force of which did not radiate in any way or another... Neither of the light nor the dark, but perhaps not even inbetween. It simply is.

Boethiah's eyes continued to follow Shelyn's movements, and their quiet alley proved the better location to watch than an open street. A few feet scurried behind them in the open road, passengers of life passing by on their way from one unimportant place to the next. "Well... Do you have any ideas?" The witch finally asked of the stranger.

She stood mostly still, but there was an eagerness to Boethiah's voice.

She -really- wanted to know what was stored in that holocron.

I should've asked the priest... She thinks.

As she peered over the box, her eyes became slightly brighter against the dark of the alleyway.

There must be some way to open the damn box.

As she held it, her hands would tremble slightly as she pressed on it with a slight amount of force. Moving her hands away as she held it there in the air, pressing gently.

"I won't press too hard, don't worry."

[member="Boethiah"]

The intentional nudge of force energies caused the holocron to flicker brightly just once, and then an audible click follows...

Pieces of golden metal began to twist and turn, and the walls of the holocron split apart as the device began to float in the air. The crystalline interior broke off into triangular pieces, revealing the glowing core within naked to eye and even touch. It gave off an incredible signature in the force, like sudden warmth after a cold shower.

Shelyn's interaction forced a connection and now--should she not resist--the device fills her mind with strange visions and her body with even stranger sensations. Ancient knowledge, the whereabouts of lost worlds, and the practice of forbidden force arts all came to her mind in overwhelming succession.

None of it would make any sense. Not at first. Her untrained mind will take time to piece together the foreign memories, the lessons of a long deceased master.

"Well... What is it?" Boethiah asks.

The woman paused, staring over the holocron in her hands. The glow of her vibrant eyes fading as she waited.

"Knowledge... A lot of knowledge..."

She looked over to Boethiah and offered her the box. "I'm... Sorry if it doesn't work now for you." Her hand shook lightly as it was extended towards her, the thoughts racing about her mind of everything forcibly shoved at her in the time of half a second.

Now understanding how the device works, Boethiah took it back with the intentions of using it at a later time.

"Don't worry. It hasn't broken your mind, the effects will pass in time." She spoke as if suddenly obtaining a full understanding from just observing Shelyn. "You know the force. You know Sargon." The young witch's fingers absentmindedly fidget along the edges of the holocron.

She paces around Shelyn, her eyes never leaving the woman. Boethiah displays the device again, "this is only a small piece of knowledge you know. There are others like it... Some greater." She brings it back down to her side. "Do you wish to find out more?" From the witch came invisible tendrils in the force, Shelyn may have been able to sense them--perhaps even perceive them as something visual.

The tendrils calmly wrap themselves around the woman, and if gone unnoticed they make Boethiah's words seem sweeter...

Just right.

[member="Shelyn The Unbroken"]

A massive headache began to form from all of this as the tendrils wrapped around her, which caught her attention as she looked to Boethiah a bit sleepy eyed.

"I...want to find out more.Yes." She said rather quietly while moving a hand to her head slowly.

As she continued to circle, Shelyn kept track of where she was by sound. Her feet shifted ever so slightly on the ground beneath her.

[member="Boethiah"]

"Then follow me," Boethiah returned.

The young woman's hand beckons Shelyn to follow, and whether or not she does the witch departs the alley through the quiet street. Assuming she did follow, Boethiah's silent steps were quick but delicate, and she hugged the right side quite closely rather than standing in the open road.

Once she turned the corner back through the busier area, she steps up a small incline and walks around the market towards the dockyard. Already the Primeval zealots were intimidating local forces who wanted nothing more than to avoid a firefight. Several nearby worlds had been sacked by their raiding parties, usually for refusal to give up any food and supplies.

They would try to avoid the same happening to their little settlement.

Shelyn followed close behind, her eyes still slightly glazed with her head hanging slightly. It seemed like a good choice to follow her, right?

As they passed the groups of people and made way to the ships she paid little mind. Only really focused on blocking everything else and trying to rid herself of the pulses if pain in her mind, and if course following Boethiah to the ships.

Their destination is close at hand.

Once Boethiah approached the entrance into the starport, the zealous warriors guarding it bowed their heads in respect.

"Your Worship," they all muttered as she walked past them. They gave cautious glances and glares to Shelyn who followed. Inside was not the great ships in orbit, but a few shuttles and dropships. "We are going up," she says. Of course by 'up' she meant space--the vessels in orbit of which the shuttles came from.

[member="Shelyn The Unbroken"]

Shelyn kept her eyes forward, not glancing to the guards as they passed, then quickly took in the surroundings of the area from the corners of her vision.

She'd never been off the planet, true. And even quicker now to follow such a total stranger which didnt seem odd in the slightest bit to her.

Up. Though where were they going, and what had Boethiah planned.

The shuttle was not designed for comfort, but it wasn't uncomfortable either.

The old, practical design lifted off with a roar of engine fire and ascended through the clouds and atmosphere before surpassing those soon after. Once it had finally reached true space, the vessel glides swiftly towards distant dots that grew larger and larger. Eventually they could be made out as a fleet of starships, some smaller and modest but others quite large and bearing powerful gun batteries.

The lead ship was a Cathedral, a massive superstructure stood erect from the central hull, with thousands of bright lights coming forth from the viewports.

Once inside the massive hangar, the shuttle touched down next to dropships and fighters.

Boethiah said nothing, she simply stepped out from the shuttle and continued on as if inviting a guest into her home...

Without heasitation Shelyn followed her, 'Do you wish to find out more' echoing through her head.

As they continued forward she scanned over the image of the cathedral in her mind.

'What is this place' the only thought she could form.

When walking through the Cathedral, the grand halls revealed themselves.
Boethiah led them to the central most area, where archives and desks sat. A place of study and worship.

High priests and their acolytes walked about in study of ancient knowledge, and the young witch moved to where she claimed the holocron and carefully put it back where it belonged. "You are in the presence of the Gods, and they know you are not faithful." She turns to face Shelyn and breaks their silence.

"What do you think on such things?" She asks.

[member="Shelyn The Unbroken"]

"I... wish to become faithful." She pauses, looking up to Boethia, the light reflecting of her slightly glowing irises. "Please... teach me about these gods."

She looks over the room for a moment and to those passing by before looking back to Boethiah.
