Walk the Line (Zerium)

They say there is a fine line between light and dark, right and wrong, and many other things which people have such elaborate and imaginative views on. Braith, over the course of history, had long stepped back and forth over that line, walked it, and was walking it rather gracefully still. She had no allegiance to the force, nor to either side of it - sides which she believed were whole and unified, not divided and inherently good or evil. It was the intent and the actions which decided those factors, not the power which was called upon. In recent days, however, she found herself less caring of the fight and the force and, really, power in general. She was in a happy relationship with a woman that - at least as far as Braith was concerned - turned heads for more reasons than her title as the Grand Master of the Jedi order.

Braith, of course, was essentially nobody. At least as far as history was concerned, at least.

It was just after dusk on the planet of Carida, a planet that was nearly twice the diameter of standard gravity planets and had an equally superior gravitational pull. Normal humans that arrived on the planet for their first visit without proper endurance training and muscle buildup found standing difficult, even Jedi who used the force to keep their composure required at least some training in the physical sense to withstand its weight. In fact, the latter was why Braith was here - not for her, belonging to a species which had evolved on a slightly larger planet, but for the hopeful that intended to become her apprentice, [member="Zerium Esther"]. The force would come to him, but so would his stamina and endurance to use it.

Zerium was in a sense in a panic. He'd lived most his life on Nar Shadaa, and was acquaint to being able to remain a quick and agile spirit. This gravity ordeal was a little overwhelming and seeming he lacked training beyond basic telekinesis and meditation. Zerium wasn't able to receive the aid that the force might of been able to provide. As he was practically dragging himself along the floor of his 'borrowed' ship. Zerium wasn't a being of strength, in fact by no means was Zerium strong. By normal standards he was even considered rather weak. Hence why when he learned hand to hand combat he preferred to focus on speed and precision over techniques requiring excessive amount of strength. Though Zerium was quick at thinking and was going to eventually find a way to over come the current obstacle of his weight being doubled in a short period of time.

Zerium dragged himself to a object that was firm enough to support him. As Zerium assumed that if the gravitational pull was approximately twice the normal limit. Then Zerium currently was weighing 300 lbs. Which was overwhelming when he thought about it. He wasn't that durable either. The few bruises from the initial fall was showing that to be true. As he eventually took the time to both combine the strength of his arms and the strength of the rest of his body to drag himself back up to a somewhat upright posture. As he took slow steps towards walking out the ship. His breathing not long afterwards becoming labored at the increased effort he was forced to put forth. Though Zerium closed his eyes and focused. As he begin to make his way to his destination. The journey probably taking four times longer then what it would have any other place.

Zerium didn't even know what stupid idea drug him here. One day he'd woken up and had a strong feeling that he needed to travel to this planet. Which was something Zerium was rather oncoming towards. As though he heard about the force yielding visions to skilled practitioners. Zerium was not fully trained and therefore found it rather rare to have such things. It forced him to temporarily place a pause to his hunt for his prior caretaker's personal items. As well as a few other things. So, Zerium was hoping what he found on this planet, was well worth the work. As Zerium until he adjusted to the gravitational effects, was sure that he was going to be missing the speed that he could always rely upon.

Carida was certainly a place of challenge for physical endurance, and those who lacked it would suffer, but it was wise to train the stamina of the body in order to properly take full advantage of the force, unless that person never wished to see the field of combat. The gravity was clearly quite heavy and even though Braith belonged to a species which evolved on a planet with an even greater field of gravity, she could still physically feel the immediate difference between it and a planet like Ossus. That wasn't to say it was over-bearing to her, but she was certainly more slow-moving than compared to before - especially as her species, having a muscle density that made her on par with most heavy-lifting human men, already possessed quite the weight in muscle. If the gravity was truly nearly doubled, it would make her nearly three hundred kilograms (or nearly six hundred and seventy pounds).

It was an odd place for a ship to be sat at - a ways away from the space port - and while Braith had initially decided she wasn't going to stop to check things out, the faint aura of the force was present within the ship attracted her to it anyways. Standing right outside the hatch to the ship, a puzzled expression on her face, Braith watched as it opened and a struggling [member="Zerium Esther"] made his way out. Figuring, based on how difficult it was for him to move, that the boy was wounded, Braith quickly rushed to his side with a look of concern. "Are you alright?" She asked, unaware of the boy's identity. He seemed to have a rather large potential in the force, something he could capitalize on with training if need be, but she was more concerned with his health than anything.
