SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Highly Flexible Material
  • Able to fuse with foreign materials during growth
STRENGTHS
  • Resistant: Owing to the use of Yuuhzan Vong Biots, the material is highly resistant to The Force
  • Flexible: Vylmiran Biot-Skin is highly flexible, allowing an excellent ratio of defense to mobility.
  • Assimilate: During the growth process, outside materials can be grafted into the biot-skin, allowing it to bond with materials such as fabrics or metals.
  • Living: The Biot-Skin is living tissue, meaning that it can be mended by immersion in bacta or kolto
WEAKNESSES
  • Rip and Tear: Damage to the Biot-Skin is more akin to injury. Though the skin may heal light wounds to itself over time, grievous wounds or damage will either render the skin unusable, or will require medical aid to repair.
  • Growth: The ability to graft new materials is near impossible after the Biot-skin has completed growth.
  • One Size Fits One: The Biot-Skin, once grown, cannot be adjusted. It grows to the size specified, no more, no less.
  • Catastrophic Damage: it is possible to damage the Biot-Skin to the point that repair is impossible.
DESCRIPTION
Inspired by the Yuuzhan Vong's reliance on organic items rather than mechanical technology, the Biot-Skin is a material grown in the same manner as traditional Vong Biots, but with a use as armoring in mind. The Biot-Skin itself does not posses astounding defenses on its own, but is instead intended to be grafted with other materials to increase the resistance that the material possesses. While the Biot-Skin is living tissue, it does not have the ability to function independently, as it is little more than veins and tissue. This offers the unique benefit of self-repairing armor, though this happens at an astonishingly slow rate, as the armor is effectively living tissue attempting to heal a wound. However, medical substances such as Bacta and Kolto can greatly accelerate this process. It is, however, possible to cause irreparable damage to the Biot-Skin, preventing it from being used again.
