TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Sword
  • Size: Average
  • Weight: Average
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Summons: The sword can be “summoned” via a ring worn on the hand. It requires fairly good skill in the force and awareness of how to use the ring, but this would theoretically allow any force user to wield the weapon. This causes the sword to teleport through space into the hand of the wielder. This ability relies on the wielder being force sensitive and having the strength to perform this action, but would theoretically them to go from unarmed to wielding a powerful alchemic sword.

  • Explosive Alchemized blade: The sword is extremely durable and can take hit after hit without being damaged. Additionally it has a strong resilience against force lightning and energy. It absorbs energy that it receives, gathering it into the blade and allows it to blast that energy exclusively against whatever the broadside of the blade hits. This creates an unusual fighting style. If the blade cuts into the target, then it effectively tears a wound open by practically exploding inside the wound. If the blade is used primarily for the force behind the blade it can blow back enemies damaging them from the raw energy it hits them with. This energy can be temporarily delayed by the user (if they are gripping the handle) allowing them to more fully penetrate before it blasts. Or intentionally blown before impact. The main exception is kinetic, it does absorb some kinetic energy, but not all. This can result in that a strong enough opponent who can handle the swords blow back, can still beat over-bear the user.
STRENGTHS
  • The blade absorbs energy, especially of the force, which can be used by the wielder (as long as they are holding the handle) to essentially create minor explosions that are directed only away from the blade and not towards the user.
  • Immensely durable.
  • Weight allows the sword to more effectively block attacks, as well as give them when they hit
  • Can be summoned via a ring (through the force)
  • Decreases the impact received from kinetic hits to the weapon allowing the user to withstand greater blows
  • The sword is aligned neither to dark nor light. Like many of Sar Vun's creations they were created through a neutral form of alchemy that leans in neither direction, lending neither strength nor weakness to either.
WEAKNESSES
  • Relies on the force to be summoned or use it’s ability to explode. Otherwise it is just either a very durable ring or very durable sword.
  • Relies on the user knowing how to summon it, and having the strength to do so.
  • While properly sharpened, the sword does not have the same cutting ability as something like a lightsaber.
  • Weaker or untrained users can have trouble using the blade due to its weight and the general danger of something like it.
  • Non force sensitives can’t use it’s force based abilities, the blade will absorb energy, but will release only on impact and will always release (unless otherwise hindered)
  • It doesn’t completely absorb kinetic impacts. This means even though the enemy will receive considerable blow back, the user can still be overwhelmed by a strong enough target (or if the user is exhausted enough). Again this only works while it is able to use the force.
  • Is no stronger in Shavara's hands as a light side user of the force than in the hands of a dark side user.
DESCRIPTION
Sar Vun’s Kaliek was a blade made during his early creations. He kept the sword around due to it serving it’s purpose as an excellent battle weapon. Much like most of his armory, it was perfect against other force sensitives and allowed him to travel lightly. The sword allowed him to take on more powerful enemies, as well as was good for general use against a target. In time he ended up relying on other weapons more, but the sword remained a good weapon. He avoided having to summon it, because he was not incredibly strong in the force, and it was draining for someone as incredibly weak as him to actually summon the weapon. But it made a good back up. When Sar Vun died, the ring along with his armory vanished. While one of his earlier designs, and therefore not the strongest by far, he eventually revealed the location of the ring to Shavara Warksher informing her that while it would be a good tool, he was showing it to her so she could learn to prepare something like it for herself. And that having the feeling of summoning it would prepare her for being able to perform the same task when she made one of her own.
