PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • Manufacturer: Vanir Technologies
  • Model: VT-Null Generator
  • Affiliation: Closed-Market
  • Modularity: No

  • Production: Semi-Unique
  • Material: Fiberplast, Aurodium, Voidstone
SPECIAL FEATURES
Null Generator - The Primary component of this device is it's Null Generator. The NG utilized a single sliver of voidstone placed at the center of the device. This sliver becomes 'supercharged' when the Generator is activated, projecting the void stones effects around the user of the device.
Datapad Function - The heads of Vanir Technologies Research department decided that adding several smaller datapad components was not only viable, but necessary to make this device commercially viable. This means that the device can also function as a standard dapatad, receiving and sending messages, acting as a communicator, etc.

Strengths:
  • Null Generator: Created in the Fringe science department of Vanir Technologies, the Null Generator's primary function is the projection of a Force Nullification Field similar to what is found in nature on the planet Myrkyr. The device achieves this through the use of voidstone, projecting a field roughly two meters in diameter when activated. This field is similar though not entirely the same as the one projected by Ysalimir(See; Weaknesses). As the primary function of the device, the Null Generator works wonders and allows one to fight more effectively against force users.
Weaknesses:
  • Power Supply: Unlike the other similar product on the market the Null Generator is significantly smaller. This means the device does not have a large supply of power. As such the Null Generator must be switched on and off, lasting only fifteen mintues for a single charge(3 full posts). Once this time is up the device switches off and requires time to recharge it's capacitor(5 posts).
  • Limitation: The VT-Null Generator is based off of voidstone technology, and thus it is not as 'complete' as the field of a Ysalimir. Though the force still ceases operation inside of the field, it required time to dissipate within. Example; A powerful force push is thrown out against the field, the force push would mitigate and dissipate until it was eventually just a small breath of air against the wearers skin.
DESCRIPTION
As the Galaxy continues it's ceaseless war of turmoil and destruction Vanir Technologies continues it's technological progress.

Looking towards products that have been produced galaxy wide, Vanir has sought inspiration from other corporations countless times. Though utilizing the same effect and basic technology, the Fringe Science department has always prided itself on honing and adapting certain technologies to better suit individual use. The VT-Null Generator follows this exact same path.

The device was created out of the same necessity as many of the other designs coming forth from the galaxies various corners, based on voidstone technology.

Thought not an entirely unique thought, the Null Generator was crafted to be smaller, lighter, and more efficient than similar products on the current marketplace.

As always Vanir Technologies has attempted to distill and develop what it sees as a helpful development within the galaxy. Of course, due to the rarity of Voidstone itself, the Null Generator is a device that is carefully controlled by the company. Though it is advertised on the market, actually obtaining one from Vanir itself is a complex process, and most of these devices are either loaned to trusted associates or utilized by the company itself.

Oddly enough however, one prototype went missing during transport to another research facility. It is currently unknown where this device is.
