- Grav Glove - The Vanir Technologies Multipurpose Utility Gauntlet[MUG] was first and foremost built around the companies most famed product; the Grav Glove. The main function of this device is replicated within the MUG, and works under exactly the same circumstances, albeit at a weakened state due to it's power restrictions. This means that the gauntlet can still push, pull, and lift, but not as much or as far as the original Grav Glove. The range of the gauntlet is equal to fully half the capabilities of the original design.
- Micro Laser Emitters - Located within the thumb, index, and middle fingers of the Multipurpose Utility Gauntlet are three micro-laser emitters. These small emitters are capable of projecting a concentrated burst of energy similar to what is found in a composite beam laser. Of course these emitters are small, and thus all three combined are only equal to about a single blaster shot, with one being about a third of that power. Combined and under sustained conditions they can do quite a bit of damage, though as with the grav function there are power restrictions.

- Energy Shield - On the back of the Multipurpose Utility Gauntlet is a small energy shield projector. This particular gadget allows the device to create a small shield capable of blocking small amounts of damage, protecting the user from energy fire as well as physical harm. Like the Grav function as well as the Laser Emitters the Shield is restricted by the energy supplied to it. This shield acts the same as a standard type energy shield and does not cover the whole body.
- Multi-purpose: As one would expect from it's name, this device is filled with a whole host of technology created and perfected by Vanir Technologies. Designed as a multi-purpose tool for soldiers, miners, and whoever else might need it, the MUG is capable of performing the function of three separate gauntlets currently sold by Vanir Technologies. Bundling these functions into the same device weakens all of the components, but allows for a more well rounded piece of technology.
- Power Restrictions: Of course, being stuffed with three separate device functions means that the MUG has quite the restriction when it comes to power. The device only has a singular Diatium battery, and that means that it can easily be over taxed. To stave this off, only one function of the device can be active at one time. Each function is also slightly less powerful than it's original form manufactured by Vanir.
As Vanir Technologies continues it's growth in the unique galactic Market of Fringe Sciences, it's concentration on the 'copying' of Force Powers becomes more and more concentrated.
Through it's series of gauntlets, Vanir has replicated abilities such as telekinesis, force lightning, and even force healing. Though this line of products is incredibly popular with the public, Vanir recognizes that their functions are both useful, and incredibly pricey when it comes to buying a single gauntlet for only a single use.
To stave off some of this price, Vanir developed the Multipurpose Utility Gauntlet.
The MUG, as it is referred to by most Vanir engineers is an amalgam of three separate technologies developed by the company. This roll up of tech allows the customer to get more 'bang for their buck'.
Of course, although utility is heightened, certain reductions within the strength of varying functions are simply an inevitability. Despite this fact, the varying sacrifices were deemed acceptable, and thus the MUG went into full production shortly after it was developed and tested.
