Strengths:
Repair Station: The Archon Class Repair Station, as it's name implies is a massive space station built for the singular purpose of repairing, refitting, and upgrading any vessel from fifty meters long up to one thousand. The Repair station comes equipped with a massive variety of tools, equipment, and systems that are allocated to fixing and repairing any ship that might be utilizing the stations services. Each of the station is capable of operating independently for up to thirty days before requiring resupply, less so if a large project comes along. The repair stations can be utilize by any vessel that fit within the 'rings' of it's super structure, and who is allowed to utilize it completely depends on who purchased the station in the first place. For Vanir Technologies, the station's it operates function on a simple service charge, much like most speeder garages. The Archon Class Repair Station simply functions as a mini repair yard, allowing smaller worlds and even trade stations to repair damaged vessel without investing too much money into a full sized drive yard.

Weaknesses:
Unarmed: The Archon Station is completely and entirely unarmed. There is not a single laser cannon, turbolaser, proton torpedo launcher, or anything of the sort located on any base Archon Class Repair Station. This was of course a designers choice, the Archon was meant to be a simple repair station utilized by planetary governments, corporations, and whoever could afford it. Defenses were a secondary thought an objective, mostly due to the realization that governments could fend for their own protection.

Unarmored: Continuing with it's status of being unarmed, the Archon Class Repair Station is relatively unarmored. This was more done as a cost cutting method than anything else. The Designers of Vanir Technologies figured that if someone wanted to blow up the repair station...then they would. Having no weapons and only a basic set of shields the Repair Station would likely be bent on destruction anyway if someone really wanted it to be destroyed.

Immobile: Lastly, The Archon Class Repair station is almost entirely immobile. The rings that compose the Repair Station are held together by powerful tractor drives that allow them to expand and stretch depending on the vessels contained within. On the outside of these rings are located maneuvering thrusters. These thrusters allow the Archon Repair stations to maintain orbit and shift slightly, though calling this any kind of real movement is laughable.

Description:
The Archon-Class Repair station is the continuation of Vanir Technologies current doctrine to produce less military armaments and more civilian utility based products.

The Archon's, as they are known with Vanir Technologies. Are a series of Repair stations manufactured and produced by Vanir Technologies to be an open-market mini drive yard that can be purchased by less affluent worlds and even trade stations that exist in the galaxy. The point of the Archon-Class Repair Station is to create a useful tool for ship repair in places where such things may not have been entirely possible, that is to say, the base market of the Archon-Class are the many worlds in the outer rim that do not have larger repair yards.

The Station's function and even design is rather simple.

The Space Station itself is made up of a set of six rings. These rings all contain varying things from equipment, to residential space, to supplies necessary for repairs. Each of these rings is held together to one another through a series of very powerful tractor beams. These tractor beams allow the station to collapse and expand depending on the size of the vessel that requires work, up to one thousand meters. These rings can of course also completely fold together, thus taking up less space in orbit and becoming a smaller target for any would be attackers. This latter feature if one of the Archon-Class' only defenses, as the stations are entirely defenseless otherwise.

The function of the Archon-Class Repair station, as mentioned before, is to serve as a small repair yard for far reaching and less affluent worlds. This is achieved by it's simple design, lack of weapons, easier power supplies, and of course near automated processes. This allows worlds who were previously incapable of purchasing larger shipyards to effect repairs to their own Planetary Defense Fleets more cheaply as well as sell the services of the station itself to any passing through the system. This is of course a net gain to any planet with a VT-Archon Class Repair station as they are capable of using the Station to draw travelers to their world.

Vanir Technologies charges a flat fee for the construction and delivery of an Archon-Class station to any system desired, delivering with it a full month of resources needed for operations.

The hope of the Archon class is that it will begin to seed outer rim worlds and less populated sectors of the galaxy with more advanced technologies. These technologies will begin an influx of people, and those people will create a better quality of life as they arrive and expand previously unknown territories. Though this process will take decades, Vanir Technologies in it's ever forward thinking manner is more than prepared to wait.
