To say that this simple lightsaber has been Vrag’s faithful companion in many a slaughter would be a grave understatement. It’s the very first saber she had constructed upon joining the One Sith, and even now, a decade later, the weapon is still in her possession and very much in use. It has undergone several modifications and upgrades throughout the years, and after the close call during her duel with [member="Orick T'ane"] on Mandalore, the Sith had realized it was high time to finalize the lightsaber and make sure it could continue to accompany her in her journeys across the Galaxy.
Using her memento from the duel with [member="Coren Starchaser"], Vrag finally abandoned the heavier durasteel for its lighter, lightsaber-resistant older brother, phrik, a precaution to guard against an accidental lucky hit, but also an advantage that she could incorporate into her fighting style. The ergonomic hilt is wrapped in the tough, but pliable spacer’s leather to provide with a comfortable grip during the lengthy periods of time Vrag is likely to wield her weapon. Unlike many of its kind, the hilt is shaped to fit into the palm of a humanoid without any sharp edges or protruding knobs, which allows for prolonged use without a decrease in performance or, Dark Lord forbid, blisters.
Building further on that idea, the lightsaber also boasts a three-way length adjustment switch meant to be exploited at an opportune moment in battle. As a deft duelist, Vrag is bound to utilize the feature to its full extent, be it the option to double the length of her blade, or reduce it to the size of a shoto; the former to surprise an enemy with an increase in reach, the latter to bypass parries in close quarters combat.
In order to maximize her edge over a foe, the Hand outfitted the lightsaber with an ion energy cell as well, using its properties in conjunction with the compressed red synth-crystal to deliver accurate and precise attacks to great effect, playing into her preference for fast-paced combat where the opponent is felled before the bout ever truly began.
All in all, Vrag’s lightsaber is not an especially innovative or pioneering example of its sort, but merely a product of experience, materials, and dueling knowledge accrued over the years.
