The Planet of Vortusa hold true to their being a warrior race, originally located and settled on by the taung race over ten thousand years ago the world originally had little life on it, during the relocation of some of the taung species the world was, by them, seen to be inferior and they began to eliminate the inferior warriors on the planet; the original occupants of the planet were forgotten over time.
The main culture of the race is that of a several ceremonies, as the norm on the planet is practicing being a warrior first and being anything else second there are three main ceremonies on the planet.
*Warlock Games:
The idea of the Warlock games is to pit several warriors in a ring together to fight until one is either badly beaten and severely injured or one is dead, it is a brutal show of strength and normally only see's rivalry squashed.
*Adulthood:
The name says it all, once a warrior makes it to being an elite he or she is considered to being an adult....not matter their age, so they can begin doing what they please long as it doesn't make a negative impact on their clan houses.
*Hunters Pact:
The hunters pact is where a new warrior from a young age begins being tested for his right to be inducted into the warrior clans, when a warrior-grunt is tested he or she is tested in three different tests to make sure he or she has what it takes.
First test is known as Ash Fall and consists of being engaged in brutal hand-to-hand combat without weapons and without armor where the warrior must defeat an opponent in three rounds to make it to the next test.
The Second test is known as Rancor Brawling and consists of fighting with a weapon but no armor and can be very brutal but non-lethal.
The third form is known as the Krayt-Dragon Nest and is a known defensive testing that pits the fighters against each other in armor but without weapons to try and win scores by how many take downs one can perform on the other, This is non-brutal and non-lethal.
There are Celebration ceremonies as well but only appear when a warrior or warriors complete their training or tests and are not often seen by outsiders.
One in particular is the Blood Pact where a warrior drinks from a bowl that consists of bug blood to attain his elite status, not many are said to achieve such status, two of the more infamous are the Princess Isis Fontana and the former General Kirill Bratan where they both drank a gallon of bug blood to prove they are the most elite.
Technology: The technology of Vortusa is very artsy, as they take their time to perfect their products and take produce fine art pieces out of their own tech, usually going to grave lengths to engrave symbols or designs into the even ships, or vehicles.
Due to a major mineral found in both the arctic and swamp regions the Vortek usually can produce some of the best made armors, weapons, ships, and vehicles as well as cybernetics that can hold up to even a lightsaber for an extended length of time...this mineral is merely an alloy but is very dense and strong.
History:
During the early ages of the planet an ancient species thrives on the world, it was said this ancient species were not warriors but merely producers and scientists, they had perfected their own cloning abilities and had perfected the productions of armors and weapons, some time went by and then the taung invaded and after several years they had seized the planet, this was what allowed the taung to enslave the original inhabitants of the world of Vortusa, in the aftermath every taung ship was destroyed and they were forced to live on the planet with the original species.
The planet went through a grave change when the taung was said to have mated with the original species and had sired offspring, the warriors had seriously mated with the original inhabitants of the world to save their own race and brought together the race known as the Vortek, a race designed for combat and war fare and a race hell bent on conquering other worlds and enslaving them, the taung never knew the evils they had brought to the manifold by mating with the original species of the world, some times went by before the Vortek was able to once again leave the world since the taung invasion and when it happened they conquered their whole system, their whole system was made up of one planet, several moons and a three suns. During the expansion of the planet other species moved in and started to help boost production and cloning this is one of the main reasons the planet was inhabited by races other than the vortek.; to this day the Vortek have several large shipyards in orbit, and several large production cities in the arctic regions while their main complexes or cities are in the swamp regions.
