Each smith tries to make each project better than the last as to test their skills and never allow their skill to become stagnant. The Jade Fang is a sword that Quoron Mantis made for himself as a swordsman. The idea for the sword is a basic but elegant design. The sword was made without a crossguard so it is a swordsman’s sword because there is no catching a blade with a crossguard so each strike from an opponent must be parried and deflected. The aesthetics of the sword are simple but elegant. Quoron came up with the idea while exploring the galaxy and learning from other swordsmiths. The forges of the Honorbound Armory would be relit and the craftsmanship that Mandolorians are known for will once again flow out of the forge. After crafting the design He came up with his shopping list of materials: an emerald, leather, mag-strips, Ultrachrome, Ori'ramikad and the other bits and pieces he would need for a sword.
[SIZE=9pt]This is the first sword in the third wave to come out of the armory. While the first was can be classified as the largest wave thus far it can be seen as the first attempts Quoron made at forging swords for himself and for others. The second is the smallest wave and can be classified by heavy usage of technology in swords. The third wave by light usage of technology with a simple but elegant blade design. The Emerald blade is a wonderful way to kickstart the new wave by updating Quoron’s every day carry sword. After much time and using mainly other’s blades he wanted to forge a new weapon that would display both his craftsmanship and his swordsmanship. The blade is going to be forged from songsteel while the hilt will be made of Ori'ramikad[/SIZE][SIZE=9pt] [/SIZE][SIZE=9pt]wood with an emerald pommel. [/SIZE]
