Vorderseite Manufacturing came about as a result of shoddy weapons manufacturing for the affordability of the common people. Or so it would have you believe. On the outside, Vorderseite is exactly that, an affordable and well made substitute for traditionally more expensive armament. Based in the Hutt Space of the outer rim, it also offers the benefit of being a local manufacturer in a place where smuggled weapons are the larger market. That being said, the real aim of Vorderseite is to produce weaponry to sell to large and warring factions, whether under the table or out in the open. Often, Vorderseite will sell what it proclaims as indestructible cannonry to one side of a conflict and will then sell a weapon specially developed to puncture that armour to the other side, all for the purpose of maximum profit. On the flip side, weapons dealing is both a cover and a boon regarding the secondary function of the company, that being spice mining and smuggling. When you make your own weaponry, you don’t need an arms contact or hired guns for protection; When you provide the heavy weaponry for local governments, you can also persuade them to turn a blind eye to large scale spice moving. Both sides fuel each other, the spice providing income to finance production, and weapons production offering an opportunity to flourish under the spice trade. Custom weaponry contracts and mass weapons production are the aim of the game with Vorderseite, and raw spice delivery to refineries are the secondary backbone of the company.
RATIONALE
Founded by Koenrad Neistov, who dreamt of selling weapons to the big guys on the front lines since he knew it was something that could be done. Having grown up on Ylesia and being as intertwined in the spice trade as one could be without being the actual spice, he decided to create an opportunity for himself wherein he could do both. The spice mines he oversees are actually acquired institutions, having been taken and repurposed for the interests of Vorderseite Manufacturing. His weapons production occurs all on Ylesian soil, often in the same compounds where spice is mined. In the long game, Vorderseite wishes to cement itself as the go-to for specialized weaponry and weapon and munition replacement on the front lines.
