OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION

  • Intent: To create a custom emitter for Voph's Lightsabers
  • Canon Link: Blade Emitter
  • Primary Source: N/A
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
  • Manufacturer: Voph
  • Affiliation: Voph
  • Model: N/A
  • Modularity: No

  • Production: Unique

  • Material: Songsteel, Duraplast, Emitter Components
SPECIAL FEATURES

  • Custom Built Emitter
  • Songsteel Plating
  • Duraplast Lining
  • Focused Matrix
  • Dual Phase Construction
  • Broad Matrix
Strengths:
  • Songsteel Plating: On top of the existing Songsteel plating used in the lightsaber casing, the Emitter is also encased in Songsteel, further preventing lightsaber mishaps.
  • Duraplast lining: The emitter is shrouded in Duraplast, enhancing its ability to function when subjected to an EMP/Ion blast.
  • Focused Matrix: The Emitter is custom made for Voph, and focuses the blade down to a very thin column (As seen in the above picture). This hyper-focused beam is very precise, and an exceptional weapon for dueling.
  • Broad Matrix: The Emitter can be tuned to a broader, more traditional beam, increasing the user's ability to deflect blaster bolts.
  • Hair Trigger: The emitters are designed by their wielder, who knows their every function and purpose, allowing him to switch between modes at the relative drop of a hat, often in mid-swing.
Weaknesses:
  • Focused tuning: As with any other focused tuning, the thinner blade is not ideal for parrying blaster bolts
  • Broad tuning: As with any other broad blade tuning, the larger blade is not ideal for precision cutting and bladework.
DESCRIPTION
The Lord of Blades. That is what they once called him. A force of nature unparalleled in the realms of blade work. His skill at using them surpassed only by his skill at making them. Voph constructed his final blades with this in mind, to be the culmination of his ability and ferocity, forged into a single blade. The Emitters were designed after many years of craftsmanship, on both his own blades, and the blades of others. The result is an Emitter that contains twin presets, allowing Voph to switch between blade tunings at a moment's notice. No previous lightsaber crafted by his hands have held this ability. And, maker willing, no blade from henceforth ever shall.
