OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION

  • Intent: To create a Crystal Chamber Matrix for Voph's Lightsabers
  • Canon Link: N/A
  • Primary Source: N/A
PRODUCTION INFORMATION
SPECIAL FEATURES

  • BCIP
  • Songsteel frame
  • Tri-Crystal Construction
  • Custom Made
  • Chromatic Tuning
  • Dual-Phase Tuning
Strengths:
  • BCIP: The Crystal housing is designed to allow the Lightsaber to function underwater.
  • Chromatic Tuning: Due to a special method developed by Voph in Lightsaber Construction, the blade color is not determined by the crystal, but by the owner of the lightsaber. The color is not picked at will, but rather is a reflection of their state of being. It is, however, anyone's guess as to the meanings of the colors.
  • Dual-Phase Tuning: The Dual-Phase Tuning allows the lightsaber to emit a blade suited to that of a typical Lightsaber, or that of a greatsword.
  • Tri-Crystal Construction: The Special construction of the Crystal Chamber allows the combined use of three different Lightsaber Crystals.
  • Songsteel Frame: The frame is made of Songsteel, significantly improving its ability to withstand hostile Lightsabers.
Weaknesses:
  • Intricate Design: Any damage to the Crystal Chamber will be catastrophic, requiring an entirely new component to be built.
  • BCIP/Dual-Phase: The BCIP interferes with the Dual-Phase functionality, limiting the user to a standard length when submerged in water.
DESCRIPTION
Heart. Mind. Soul. These are the three aspects of a Lightsaber. While many have been granted blades by masters and mentors, and contented themselves to use these for all eternity, there are those who believe that the bond between a Jedi and his Lightsaber is sacred. Voph lives by this creed, and has never used a lightsaber he did not create himself. The crystals, recognized by Voph to be a living part of the weapon he so loves, are thus encased in only the finest craftsmanship. An ancient technique developed by Voph himself has melded the crystals to his own being, altering their properties so that the blade created is not determined by the crystal, but by its user. A reflection of the soul that uses it. Voph never told anyone what the colors meant, and many believe he is unaware this aspect of his blade even exists, given his own inability to perceive color.
