OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
SETTING INFORMATION
  • Space Station Name: The Vonnuvi
  • Station Model: Ithorian Herdship
  • Classification: Civilian
  • Location: Mobile. Three-year routes are plotted after every Herd Meet, however the ship is able to freely deviate from its original course if the crew deems it necessary. Typically, the Vonnuvi plots its course around struggling regions, like the Scar Worlds.
  • Affiliation: High Priest Gillom Rone Gillom Rone , Ithorians
  • Population: Heavy. Approximately 2,000 crewmates and 8,000 civilian passengers, with room for growth.
  • Demographics: Approximately 70% Ithorian, 30% other. Most non-Ithorian passengers are refugees from war-torn and ecologically devastated planets.
  • Accessibility: Provided one is aware of its location at a particular time, the Vonnuvi is relatively easy to access. Visitors must pass through a security checkpoint first, but they will generally be permitted entry as with any terrestrial city, barring extreme cases such as established exiles, wanted criminals, or those with openly hostile intent. More extensive security measures may be taken if a visitor is heavily-armed.
  • Traffic: Moderate. This can fluctuate significantly depending on trade stops, but mid-transit, the Vonnuvi is typically uncongested by incoming traffic.
  • Description: Like most herdships, the Vonnuvi is a massive spaceship that houses its own city. The Upper City skyline can be seen from the exterior of the ship. The Inner City emulates a terrestrial, arcology-focused urban sprawl.
POINTS OF INTEREST
Upper City
: The Upper City makes up the skyline of the Vonnuvi that is visible from the exterior. These skyscrapers mostly house large corporate offices as well as visitor amenities like hotels and entertainment services. Most venues that would be considered an aspect of "nightlife" are housed within the Upper City.

Inner City: The Inner City, as the name implies, makes up the majority of the Vonnuvi's interior. It is designed to simulate the more natural appearance of a planetary surface, including grass, trees, freshwater reservoirs, and an artificial sky with a complete day-night cycle.
  • Administrative Sector: Where the Vonnuvi's main operations are conducted. Governmental facilities and offices make up much of the space, alongside a few other notable inclusions:
    • Command Bridge: The deck from which the Vonnuvi's astrogators and pilots maneuver the ship through space.
    • Cultural Exchange Museum: A small institution that preserves objects of cultural interest to the people of the Vonnuvi. Various Ithorian items are on display, as well as some belonging to the displaced peoples who have taken refuge on the herdship.
    • Docking Bays: The Vonnuvi's docks reside in the administrative sector, complete with security checkpoints, cargo holds, and various landing bays for visiting ships.
    • Hydroponics: A large lab dedicated to growing food for the Vonnuvi's civilian populace. Though they still trade for alternative foodstuffs from external sources, through the Hydroponics department, the Vonnuvi is effectively self-sufficient.
    • Jedi Enclave: A facility commissioned by Jedi Amani Serys, who has a working relationship with the Vonnuvi's high priest. It offers Jedi a refuge to train, live, and operate out of, while also creating a new opportunity to connect to the wider galaxy beyond standard Temple life.
  • Commerce Sector: The primary ecnomic hub of the Vonnuvi. It contains the central marketplace, and most of the ship's stores, restaurants, and other services.
  • Residential Sector: The largest sector of the Vonnuvi, containting domiciles for the ship's civilian population. A few other public services, such as schools and places of worship, can also be found here.

Botanical Domes: Like other herdships, the Vonnuvi hosts a number of geodesic domes, which civilians can access for recreation and leisure. Each dome contains a different biome, with a focus on replicating worlds that have been severely damaged, destroyed, or otherwise rendered inaccessible. These domes can simulate different temperatures, times of day, and certain weather conditions.
  • Dome of the Mother Jungle: The largest dome, residing within the central chamber of the herdship. It contains a transplanted piece of the herd's homeworld, Ithor.
  • Other domes: There are eight separate domes currently filled on the Vonnuvi, with four more unfilled domes constructed. The active domes are as follows:

Observation Decks: There are upper and lower observation decks on the Vonnuvi. The upper observation deck offers a wide shot of the botanical domes, while the lower deck allows for a more unrestricted view of space.

SECURITY
High.
The Vonnuvi has access to the standard array of external weaponry installed on nearly all Ithorian herdships, including:
As the ship houses an entire city's population, the Vonnuvi maintains its own police force. This is predominantly for anti-piracy and internal law enforcement; It is not a specially-trained military. That said, the fact that a Jedi enclave lives on board decidedly bolsters the Vonnuvi's security.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Vonnuvi is an Ithorian herdship, with a focus in visiting struggling regions and planets across the galaxy. It is a sanctuary city, providing trade and resupply opportunities with those it comes across, as well as shelter for refugees and migrants who might otherwise find themselves without a home. As such, its population is more varied than that of most herdships.

This initiative was formed by its current and long-standing High Priest: Gillom Rone. For decades they have pursued this goal, becoming the spearhead of various relief efforts across the Outer Rim, Scar Worlds, and elsewhere.

Most recently, an agreement between High Priest Rone and Jedi Knight Amani Serys has led to the construction of a Jedi Enclave within the herdship, with the intent of fostering a cooperative relationship and combining their efforts to aid the wider galaxy.

Okay, right out the gate I have to say that this is exactly the type of submission I love seeing! Something that's fairly simple in concept but is rooted in both canon and Chaos lore with a solid presentation and focusing on something that we rarely see otherwise, love it! Always glad to see some of the more alien of the aliens get some love and attention.
