Approved Species Vong Shaped Kadian Dalek-Killer

Status
Not open for further replies.
Name: Vong Shaped Kadian Dalek-Killer
Designation: Semi-sentient
Homeworld: Kad V
Language: Understands Yuuzhan Vong as well as basic
Average height of adults: Varies between one meter and two meters depending on how venerable its age is.
Skin color: Ashen and/or Jet-Black
Hair color: No color
Breathes: It does not breathe normally. Like the Lungless Gand, they receive gas exchange through metabolic means.

Strengths:

  • Originally Dalek Beasts: As a Dalek Beast, the Dalek-Killers ff allowed to, can potentially live for a very long time. Also, because of their adopted skeletons, it is often difficult to reach their major weakness of their organ sack (though not as difficult as a natural Dalek Beast; more on that later). There is little they can't attempt eating, as their acid spit can dissolve many disagreeable organic substances. Additionally, they don't breathe, and thus can't be killed by aerial poisons.
  • Projectile Acid Spitters: Due to the flexible nature of Dalek flesh, Uvek Tar was able to easily manipulate the creatures bodies to include a tube maw that contains the secreted acidic saliva that is used for digestion, allowing them to quickly spurt the burning liquid over a target. These qualities were then breed through other generations of Dalek Beasts until the creatures that accepted the change most passed it on as a genetic adaptation. Their darkened skin is a result of this breeding process, due to the limited population of captured Dalek's.
  • Paralytic Stomach Acid: Through the a careful study and analysis of the Dalek beasts, Uvek Tar also studied the secreted contents of their stomach, and discovered something mildly interesting: the stomach acids of a Dalek Beast possessed an interesting mildly paralytic compound. Hypothesising that this poison was likely an evolutionary advantage that had to be cultivated, the Yuuzhan Vong quickly went to work at undergoing procedures that increased the production of this compound until it became more prominent and potent enough to numb muscular tissue on contact (as well as burn due to the acidic portion of their saliva)
  • Higher Intelligence: Unlike their more animalistic counterpart, the Dalek-Killers have a inbred heightened intelligence, that grants them the domesticated ability to understand basic language, gain loyalty to certain social figures, and to follow simple commands. Additionally, due to their greater intelligence, have smarter skeletal adoption strategies, which includes the desire to become symmetrical and thus more efficient at performing tasks, including combat.
  • Heightened Sensitivity: Due to the need to sniff out Dalek Beasts, these killers have been bred with an innate memory of a Dalek beasts particular sounds, and scent left on the ground. Their eyes too, are especially sharp in order to pinpoint camouflaged Dalek's.

Weaknesses:
  • Originally Dalek Beasts: Their most vulnerable point is their organ sack, and their mouth; easily exploitable. They do not have fast acting regenerative abilities, and cannot replace missing tendrils without sufficient nutrients. The same goes for severed tendrils attempting to continue its growth, but if done correctly, a Dalek can reattach missing tendrils by fusing around it, but it is more likely the Dalek will simply eat it.
  • Stretched Organ Sack: Due to their flesh being shaped to include a tube that draws secreted stomach acids from it's complicated digestive tract, the whole of the organ sack has been stretched out, and posses more of a risk of exposure. A hardy strike to its back or entirely through its acid spitting maw may possibly fatal wound the creature in an instant, due to the centralized organ system.
  • Smaller: Due to the extensive breeding processes, there were several unique consequences to the new race as a whole. For instance, in addition to being dark skinned, their size as a whole is usually smaller than a wild Dalek's. Some of this is due to them being new and young, unable to have reached venerable ages yet, but it is also due to how young their ancestors were bred, slowly driving the population's overall size to decrease among other factors. This puts them at a slight disadvantage to the prey that they are tasked with hunting down when the combat becomes close ranged. Additionally, there is a high chance their organ sack will be exposed given their smaller girth and stature.
  • Susceptible in the Force: Unlike most things that are vong shaped, the Dalek is not entirely force dead, and being an animal it could conceivably be manipulated with some concentration. Its ability to touch the force however, is completely blind to it.
  • Heightened Sensitivity: The increase in the biological senses is a double edge sword, that grants them the intended abilities that was desired out of them, but at the cost of being more highly susceptible to techniques that could irritate and overload their senses.

Distinctions: The Dalek-killers are a fairly intelligent small mass of tendrils with the ability to fuse together. These boneless creatures are in essence, a sack of organs with a slightly asymmetrical mess of appendages. With this sack of organs, includes: a heart, a brain, and a complicated stomach system that has been stretched out to extend out of the maw in order to drip and spit its paralytic acidic contents onto ranged targets. The stomach though is slightly exposed directly behind the acid spitting "head" of the organism. It has various eyes upon its head/maw that have a slightly symmetrical placement, and minuscule hairs used for sensing vibrations in the air and ground. This blob of flesh though is utterly defenseless to the wild without skeletal protection. Thus, using their ability to slowly engulf and fuse together around an object, they build their own skeletons and shells of armor by intelligently stealing parts from their prey, and using their bones after eating them (or whatever their master gives them to engulf) to actively build a quasi-symmetrical and effective system. They do not limit themselves to animal organic structures though, as they are also known for accumulating into their system many different foreign objects, such as tree branches and stones (or whatever else is put into them by their masters). Due to all of this, Dalek-Killers can be even more dangerous than their Dalek counterparts, as their more organized body usually possesses an assortment of dangerous objects in a specific pattern to kill prey with.

Average Lifespan: Since their original genetic ancestors were Dalek, it is assumed that they can still live up to be 250 years old before they grow to a size that their organs can't support, but due to their smaller size, it is estimate that their life span could be cut in half. Though they are more likely to die of poison, disease, or combat by the age of 65.
Races: N/a
Estimated Population: Around 6 dozen on Kad V
Diet: Their intended staple is Dalek meat... or in other words, cannibalism. Otherwise, they eat an ordinary Dalek Beast diet, though they are more intelligent and only eat mildly poisonous substances in small doses to build immunities to them, thus they are immune to even more poisons than their counterparts.
Communication: They use a method of gurgling the acids in the maw-tube, to produce a liquid screech that gives them their name, as it sounds like they are screaming "Da-lek".
Culture: They have no intelligent culture, but as animals they are very territorial, but can be sociable around the one they claim as their master. There are many things that interest a Dalek-Killer, but asymmetrical, and intricately shaped objects are some of the most interesting, as well as objects with varying textures, a trait they continue to share with their predecessors. Additionally, they often fight without lethality against each other using bludgeon strikes to practice and hone their skills together.
Technology level: They intelligently design their skeletons out of prey carcasses, selecting the best bones that fit their pre-existing collection, and adding in stone and other materials to compliment their lethality.
General behavior: Dalek-Killers, are in actuality super aggressive, due to the combat focus they were given to hunt other Dalek's. In fact, all the times that they can be observed as being calm, is directly after a kill. They have little no discrimination for the destruction of Dalek Beasts, or some other creature.
History: When Uvek Tar's biological escape vessel brought him to Kad V, he was met by a former Imperial Remnant task force that had been sent there to occupy the lush jungle world. Soon after, he would find himself on the surface, studying the various wild creatures present on the planet, no longer confined to any order's obligations. Although he did not enjoy the compound he was in, he could at least tolerate it as a necessity given no other option but to accept the technological fortress for his own protection from the terrible beasts of Kad V. The primary infestation being of course, the infamous Kadian Dalek Beasts which had destroyed the orbital research station of its scientists in the I.R.I.S. Station Massacre, and plagued the compound despite their best efforts to exterminate them from the immediate vicinity.

The creatures were simply too versatile and robust to fully extinguish, and no other creature on the planet could match them as a predator. They were the apex kings of the entire planet. There was no portion of Kad V where a Dalek Beasts was not prowling over to you silently, moving in for the kill. The solution, was to fight fire with fire, at least in Uvek tar's mind. An initiative, to capture a few Dalek Beasts while they were young and small, and breed them in a specific manner, while shaping them with leftover medical technology that Uvek Tar was able to acquire as he escaped the One Sith. The crude process was longer than true shaping, but the Master Shaper was able to make due with what he had.

The process of actually shaping their bodies was surprisingly easy, given the ready acceptance of foreign materials into the host's body, and their unique ability to join and separate any tissues together given a little bit of time was particularly advantageous to the experiment to design a creature capable of predating the Dalek Beasts. The first thing to be bred into the creatures though, was obedience, making the ones that were more likely to approach the vong for food or bones were the ones to be used, in order to amplify those particular qualities and move along their domestication. In the process of this, higher mental capacity was being bred into the creature's side by side to the obedience of the creatures, as they became more "friendly" and social with their Master and one another.

Once Domesticated Dalek's were on hand, the Master Shaper began to actually begin shaping the creature, elongating its mouth and forming a tube resistant to the stomach acids of the creature, allowing it to move muscles in such a way as to launch the liquid onto a target. Their organ sack too, was narrowed as a result of this, and once complete Uvek Tar began breeding these traits through a particular vong technique of carrying over the genes that form these structures into new hosts. Additionally, the paralytic nature of the stomach acids was discovered... and hypothesized to be a result of trying to better capture a particular prey item (which is highly susceptible to paralysis). This compound was then refined to the point of being effective, and bred further into the population.

Several generations were bred after the final product, in order to ensure that the traits carried over correctly, which included with an innate aggression set particularly for Dalek Beasts. Soon, the mad doctor would be prepared to unleash these beings into the compound's perimeter to wash out the perceived infestation.
Notable Player-Characters: N/a
Intent: To provide Uvek Tar with a contingency of guard-creatures during this thread that is being GMed by me for the infiltrator, [member="Xilo Gale"], and possibly at a future date, as a secondary pet for Zambrano the Hutt upon Uvek Tar's capture.
Primary Source: Kadian Dalek Beasts

[member="Zambrano the Hutt"]

I have no worries for this creature as they are in very small numbers and have enough physical weaknesses to make them easy enough to kill. Although this is optional; I recommend that you submit the 'pet' version as an NPC.

Approved, pending secondary.

I don't really understand this submission. Its intent puzzles me, and its purpose is confusing too.

However, since they're both your species I'll allow it. Abuse and suffer.
