The Voidnet-type Gravitic Depth Munition, codenamed “Shearsong,” is a devastating dual-effect weapon developed by the Commonwealth for use in fleet denial, tactical retreats, and shock-based battlefield disruption.
Drawing on the devastating gravitic detonation of the Void-7 Seismic Charge and combining it with the interdiction snare of the ID-84 Missile, Shearsong turns any combat zone into a trap. The initial airburst or void-rip flattens formations and shatters inertial locks — and seconds later, the interdiction field flares up, cutting off escape.
Two optional payload variants expand the munition’s brutality:
- The Plasma Core variant releases a superheated vapor field that can ignite open air or cripple sensitive components in vacuum.
- The Concussive/Ballistic variant launches hardened micro-ball bearings outward at shrapnel-grade velocity — shredding strike craft, screening drones, and unshielded decks.
