Void Genetics is the latest in a line of Subsidiary Corporations established and fully funded by Vanir Technologies.
Vanir Technologies has long held a Cloning Division within the company. This division of the corporation has seen major success in the outer rim and the mid rim with production of clones organs for surgeries as well as minor cloning projects. Vanir Technologies has never built an army nor does it plan to, but its cloning facilities are perhaps the most advanced in the galaxy. Seeking to further develop its cloning technology as well as break into the avenue of chemical production within the Galaxy Vanir Technologies began it's construction of a new subsidiary corporation that would fulfill these goals.
Void Genetics is that company.
Quite simply the company itself was constructed and fully funded to research avenues of genetics, biochemical research, and more advanced biological studies that Vanir Technologies was not currently capable of. The Company holds three state of the art laboratories the size of buildings that most companies would devote to arms manufacturing. The Companies Genetic Splicing Division works closely with Vanir Technologies cloning division in order to create new an unique projects within the area of genetics and biological research. The Biochemical department of the company works off of previous research that was established within the hallowed halls of Titan Industries. Both of these departments are perhaps the most advanced in the galaxy in their fields, both being fully funded by Vanir Technologies and its other subsidiaries.
The company is currently only located upon two worlds and remains in good standing on both of these planets.
The nature of Void Genetics of course means that its facilities are highly secretive. Access to Void Genetics facilities is incredibly restricted and going inside requires security clearance as well as several background checks by Saeva Incorporated. Void Genetics Facilities are well guarded by the Saeva Private Military Company.

Rationale:
Void Genetics is a wholly owned Subsidiary of Vanir Technologies.
The Company itself was founded form the ground up by Vanir Technologies under the directive of Alric Kuhn. The corporation was funded through Vanir Technologies and the same hedge-fund sources as Vanir Technologies. The Company was created to suit the purpose of research into biochemical and biological research through means that were, at the time, not available to Vanir Technologies. In order to keep the two corporations separate Void Genetics became a subsidiary instead of a separate division of Vanir Technologies.
This split between the two companies occurred for two reasons.
The First is simple tax reasons. Splicing the two companies in two created a smaller tax bracket for both corporations and allowed the company to pay less dividend to it's stock holders as well as maintain a smaller fiduciary entitlement to planets that it calls its home. This, in effect, means that Vanir Technologies as a whole saves money and allows Void Genetics to slip under the radar with minimal monetary troubles.
The second reason for the split between Vanir Technologies and Void Genetics is public image. Vanir Technologies as a whole is a well respected, albeit not all that large corporation. The Nature of Void Genetics and the work done by the company tends to draw negative attention. Biochemical research and well as Biological developments tends to draw the eye of activists, protesters, and malcontents. By keeping the two companies separate Vanir Technologies avoids any besmirching of its image.
