The VM-014 Sol-Charger "Solarion" is an officer's sidearm of the Vandemarian-Mithraic program, developed by the Techwrights as a compact weapon of considerable thermal output. Drawing inspiration from Solar Ionization weapon technology, the Solarion converts its charge into concentrated bursts of searing energy, capable of rapidly heating and penetrating armour. Its Superheated Plasma Cell serves as both ammunition reservoir and magazine, holding an unstable mass of energized material that can become dangerously volatile when damaged. For this reason, the weapon is fitted with reinforced containment systems and is traditionally treated with the same caution afforded to any high-energy military device. The Solarion is deliberately designed as an officer's weapon: compact enough to remain unobtrusive, yet powerful enough to command respect when drawn.
