Vivia's animated story ("The Reanimating of the Sith") music and other questions

Ok so Vivia Rompdew is basically the main character of a stop motion animation I am making, and I am hoping to get some help with the story, as I am not done writing it, as well as the music. If you read my character description, just know that I have significantly altered the story, I.E. there is no longer a war, the villain (Ficta Pero) is no longer a councilmember (probably). I will not change the backstory for my chaos version of her for consistency's sake, however my animated version of her will likely be subject to change for a long time.

Ok so here's the plot of The Reanimating of the Sith. (All years mentioned in the story use the ARR, after The Rusaan Reformation, calendar, but for your sake I will translate them to BBY. Fun Fact: The Rusaan Reformation occured exactly 1000 years before the battle of yavin!) In 908 BBY, a teenage Vivia Rompdew and her fellow Jedi teen, Maya Resca, had a relatioship and slept together multiple times despite the Jedi's rules against love. They broke up because of the Jedi code, but they still remained friends. 10 years later, their relationship was discovered and put on trial, but they were not expelled because of their contributions to the Jedi Order since then. Also, Vivia had become the Jedi battlemaster in those 10 years, and Maya became a respected Jedi master in her own right.

A year after their trial, a mysterious signal is recieved from an ancient Sith academy on the planet Odacer-Faustin, and Vivia is sent to investigate. As Jedi Battlemaster, she is usually the one sent to deal with Sith related matters. When Vivia enters the planet's atmosphere, she is shot down by something on the ground. She crashes and after a few days of searching, she encountered a suspicious man with a yellow lightsaber, claiming to be a Jedi. When she starts asking questions, he attacks her. During their duel, Vivia disarms him and cuts his hilt in 2, and just then another man shows up and they both ignite red lightsabers, revealing themselves as Sith (Just for clarification, the first one she encountered is the master and the second man is the apprentice). She is understandably suprised, but after a hard fought duel that takes them to the entrance to the Sith academy, she manages to kill the master. After his death, the apprentice tries to convince Vivia that someone else shot all 3 of them down, which is true, but she doesn't buy it. During the fight, they hear footsteps coming from the door to the academy and pause their fight. they both sense a powerful presence coming, and as the door is stabbed by a crimson lightsaber, they run because they are both too tired to fight a new powerful opponent. Vivia takes a glance back as she runs and sees a pale figure in black robes eating part of the Sith master's body, which causes the Sith master to rise from the dead as a zombie. She runs even faster to a cave with the apprentice, and they continue fighting until Vivia is stabbed in the side and knocked out.

When Vivia wakes up, the apprentice, named Darth Nosnum, convinces her to team up to defeat the 2 Sith zombies. She reluctantly agrees, and over the course of the next few episodes, they learn about how the zombies came to be (If you want to know, look up the book Red Harvest, I explain all you need to know in my animation, but I don't want to make this post too long. Basically the pale zombie, named Darth Cyno, recieved a mutated version of the virus so to speak that gave him self healing powers and allowed him to keep his sentience, but he was trapped by rubble until recently). Vivia also learns about Nosnum's backstory. Darth Nosnum was from a planet once disconnected from the rest of the galaxy. It was ruled by a benevolent king, until he died and his daughter became queen. She was benevolent as well, but she became more and more corrupt, turning into a horrible dictator. Nosnum lost many loved ones to her regime, including his sister. 10 years before the current day, the republic discovered Nosnum's planet and the Jedi liberated them. Nosnum respected the Jedi, but he feared that they could potentially become authoritarian like his planet's government, and that no one could stop them. His future Sith master, named Darth Tralfax, found him, sensed his force sensitivity, and preyed on his fear for the Jedi to convince him to become his apprentice, although Tralfax wanted to make Nosnum forget these morals and become a mindless monster. By the time Tralfax asked Nosnum to become his apprentice, Nosnum saw right through him, but he also sensed his power, and he knew that if he refused, he would become a liability to the Sith, and he would not survive long enough to get protection. And thus, Nosnum played along and became a Sith, albeit with noble intentions. While his main reason for joining Tralfax is that of survival, he also hopes to reform the Sith into something more benevolent, something that's main purpose is to be a failsafe if the Jedi go evil. Make no mistake though, Nosnum is no angel (from a certain point of view I guess). He has murdered innocents in order to stay in the good graces of his master, and has even let the darkness consume him to a degree. His relationship with Tralfax devolves into that of most Sith master/apprentice relationships, with Tralfax not allowing Nosnum to make friends or talk to his loved ones (I might have Tralfax kill Nosnum's family, but I feel like if that happens Nosnum would immediatly fight him to the death, which would accomplish nothing for Tralfax, and he would have known this), as well as SAing and torturing him when he fails a task. Nosnum tried to kill him once, but he lost and was beaten for it. 10 years after becoming a Sith, him and his master recieve the same signal from Odacer faustin that the Jedi recieved. Back to the present day, after hearing Nosnum's story, Vivia starts to feel sympathetic for him, and their trust for each other slowly grows over the course of their time on Odacer-Faustin.

During this part of the story, The 2 learn that another Jedi was there recently with a group of bounty hunters, but they were killed and zombified by Cyno. But more importantly, this Jedi mentioned Vivia by name, somehow knowing that she would be sent there (The Jedi's zombie attacks Vivia and Nosnum shortly after but is swiftly defeated and killed by Nosnum). Eventually, Maya travels to Odacer-Faustin and meets up with the 2 after they have a short confrontation with Cyno and zombie Tralfax. She tells Vivia and Nosnum that while they were away, the Jedi council chamber was bombed, and many other Jedi in positions of power have either been assasinated or been targets of attempted assasination, and so she went to make sure Vivia was ok. They tell her about their adventure so far, minus Nosnum being a Sith (Maya figures it out, but Vivia, who is way more trusing of Nosnum now, convinces her not to tell anyone), and they conclude that the zombie Jedi and the bounty hunters were likely sent to assasinate Vivia. They call in reinforcements via Maya's ship, but before they arrive, the 3 are attacked by the zombies. The trio defeat the zombies in a final confrontation, however one of the bounty hunter zombies (or possibly Cyno) managed to escape in Maya's ship, albeit without a jaw (by the way the zombies have kinda been taken over by Cyno, and it's basically a hive mind, so he can control other zombies even if his OG body is destroyed). Nosnum asks Vivia to purify his kyber crystal, as he is worried that he will have to use his saber yet, and in front of witnesses. The reinforcements arrive and pick up the trio.

Ok, so at this point, all this stuff is still "canon" to the chaos version of Vivia, but from this point onward, the story deviates from what I wrote in her character post. Its also a lot less fleshed out and way more subject to change.

The 3 go back to coruscant, they find out that there has been some sort of scandal involving the senate, and various political factions are investigating corruption. The culprits, unknown to everyone at this point, are a pair of Jedi, one of which was the Jedi that got zombified. The other, living Jedi is an extremist is trying to gain political power in order to enforce strict Jedi rules on the rest of the galaxy. The villain also creates/recruits, "factions" to "investigate" the corruption as well, with the intent of spreading false information about it. The 3 main characters wind up working for the banking clan to help investigate. The reasons that they don't join up with the Jedi instead are a combination of the fact that a Jedi was sent to kill Vivia, so they don't fully trust the order, and that the Jedi are unable to investigate because of their loss of leadership and because the villain is using legal loopholes to prevent them from investigating. Nosnum, who has studied politics, helps the banking clan on the political front, while Vivia and Maya sort of work as undercover agents for them, gathering info and (possibly) assasinating threats to the republic. Maya wanted to be more of a diplomat, but the public being aware of Jedi involvement in a private group's dealings would have bad implications. As a result of all the espionage, Maya becomes more jaded. (She is a Jedi councilor [not councilmember, I mean the Jedi with the green lightsabers] so she hasn't really been involved in conflict). Her and Vivia also rekindle their romance. I haven't figured out a ending yet, besides that the villain ofc gets defeated, and the banking clan and the Sith get a good relationship.

Ok so here are some questions: I want to use duel of the fates for the fight between Vivia, Darth Nosnum, and Darth Tralfax, But I don't want to use any star wars music for any other fights or other scenes, besides maybe across the stars for the romance scenes. If anyone has any suggestions for music that isn't from star wars, but would fit the vibe, especially for fight scenes, it would be really nice if you could post them here. Also advice on how to write a romance between Jedi would be great.

Thats all for now, thanks for reading!

No advice to give on writing Jedi romance (ew, Jedi) but much of it can be like any other romance. I'm a big fan of adding in small background bits in my romances to make them more real. What I mean by background bits is like callbacks (remember that summer we spent together? an inside joke, a place, etc) to make things more nuanced. Not sure how that can fit with forbidden Jedi love but I'm sure it can be woven in.

As for music, this has always given me a Duel of the Fates vibe.

Persephone Dashiell Persephone Dashiell Thank you for the suggestion! I will keep the romance in mind. I might use that song if wind up killing off my characters, which I am considering, but I do think that it's a bit too epic for most of my story. I'm kinda thinking like the level of intensity of the Utapau/General grievous theme or the song that plays during the end credits of the first avengers movie for lightsaber duels and any fight that involves a Sith, and using like a mix of spy music and fantasy music for the espionage scenes. One thing I feel like I should point out is that despite the story being told from 1 force wielding characters perspective and that the supporting cast are all force sensitive, half the fights will be blaster shootouts because when Maya and Vivia get into scuffles while doing investigation, they do not want people to know that they are Jedi, so they use blasters mostly. Also, I forgoot to mention this in my first post, but good trailer music would be nice as well!
