STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES:
Like many Ithorians, Vishkar is a warmhearted and loving person at heart, and cares much towards the safety of others around him and close to him. He is one to trust others he knows to be of pure heart easily, but is also cautious towards others he feels may be dangerous or untrustworthy. He comes to love those around him as much as he loves much of nature, but having grown up around smugglers and spaceports, he is also quick to think and well acquainted with the galaxy's underbelly. He has some level of skill with blaster weapons, but is also slow and not very manoeuvrable himself due to his size. Vishkar is knowledgeable on flora and fauna life, and though a majority of the time he remains a pacifist, he will engage in combat if entirely necessary, though the safety of his allies is his highest priority.
APPEARANCE:
Vishkar is tall and well built for an Ithorian, with strong limbs he uses to carry his cargo and freight aboard his ship. While he appears aged and used to the galaxy, he still retains much of his youth, and is eager to explore much more of the galaxy. He often wears heavy piloting gear that serves as armour in dire situations, reminiscent of that worn by rebel pilots during the era of the Rebellion many years before. His voice of warm and accented with that of the Ithorian language, but he is easy to understand.
BIOGRAPHY:
Born on Felucia but raised abroad, Vishkar lost his family and true name after being sent far from his herd during a civil war on the jungle planet. He was raised as a Pupa amongst smugglers and traders, many whom traded him amongst one another until he ended up on Sullust at a young age, with an experienced pilot he called Father, the owner of an incredibly rare LAAT Gunship he used as a freighter, called 'Spirit of Rothana.' Father was an incredibly talented pilot who worked as a Hired Freighter and Mercenary, often travelling into enemy controlled territory to smuggle goods and people, and offer services in dangerous situations. As Vishkar grew in age, so did his worry for Father, for he grew older with every passing day, and so more weary and frail. And during a routine run along the Rimma Trade Route towards Thyferra, the Spirit of Rothana was contacted with an alert from the station they were approaching; for pirates had raided it and left much of the spaceport in shambles.
Father was not hesitant, and continued forward, docking at the damaged spaceport and unloading the much needed cargo for a waiting emissary. However, the contact they met with turned out to be one of the waiting pirates in disguise, and as soon as the transfer had been completed, the pirate shot Father.
Vishkar was heartbroken, but could do nothing to help as he watched Father die. All he could do was flee, flee Thyferra and return to Sullust in failure. But this event did not dissuade him from a future in the galaxy's trade. Instead, he offered his services to the Galactic Alliance as an underground pilot-for-hire and smuggler, in hope of making the spirit of his father, and the Spirit of Rothana, proud.
SHIP:
Vishkar owns a Custom retro LAAT (Low-Altitude-Support-Transport) originally used during the Clone Wars by Republic troops, called 'Spirit of Rothana'. It has been modified to allow space travel, and many of its weapons and turrets have been removed, giving the ship more manoeuvrability, but less capability in battle. It has plenty of room to hold cargo, whether human or not, and is able to travel at light speed.
