DESCRIPTION
Viper Sensor Intelligence Systems is a medium sized research and development company, which is aimed at droid technologies creation for Arakyd Industries. They complete continuous research and development in these areas, seeking to improve on existing methods and systems. Due to being a subsidiary - and primary development - for its parent corporation, VSIS has very little need to expand or provide direct consumer business. Due to past hostile takeovers and agreements, VSIS is highly regulated and maintained, with only reviewed and approved contract work being permissible with Arakyd Industries approval outside of itself. There are no direct to market sales or business.
The company is run by a small management team, who control specific divisions. All research requirements and amounts come directly from Arakyd Industries as they request. Research and development internally is allowed to progress as engineers see fit, within loose budget constraints, but all projects require approval and are overseen by management consistently.
RATIONALE
Viper Sensor Intelligence Systems has been a successful pioneer of research and development into droid technology for Arakyd Industries for centuries. Contract clauses and controlling interests have been heavily observed and taken care of, to ensure the subsidiary cannot break its merger terms. So, despite VSIS success in its fields, and the fortune its gained for its parent corporation, it remains a subsidiary that is highly regulated and managed.
As such, Viper Sensor Intelligence Systems is under direct control of Arakyd Industries, however their R&D team has some freedom in direction and pursuits, though remains heavily regulated and controlled on a management level. Direct sales are not permitted, though VSIS is able to be contracted out by Arakyd Industries upon review and approval of services.
