  • Length: 63 cm
  • Weight: 870 grams each
SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Lightsaber resistance
  • Light weight
  • Poisoned Grip
Strengths:
  • Don't touch: Made with the use of local Talravai wood, various poisons are invested into the wood. So that anyone who has not built up an immunity to can be affected. Gripping it causes a slow itching sensation in the hands, and overtime will cause sever rashes and hives to break out upon the skin. This is used mostly to prevent others from using the weapon, or should someone steal it, they are then, "marked" and can easily be tracked with who had them last.
  • Singing Steels: Created with Songsteel, the weapons are lightsaber resistant and are able to withstand a great amount of trauma and stress. Thus these weapons are useful in more places around the galaxy than just the planet of Talravin.
  • Short, Light, Agile: Using Songsteel, the weapons are rather light compared to other knives or shortswords of it's size. Thus these weapons are easy to carry around, conceal, as well as use in general for Shaun.
Weaknesses:
  • Non-Lethal... Kinda: The poisons set into the grips have various weaknesses. Simply wearing thick enough gloves, or only holding onto the blades can prevent one from getting the poison upon their skin. Should a person have a higher immunity to poisons, or other effects, then this will barely cause anything worse than an itch on their hands. As well, the poison is non-lethal as long as no one starts licking the handles, or has direct contact to the bloodstream. Even them, the chance for someone to die from this is very rare.
  • Flimsy: Even though it is created with the use of lightsaber resistant metals, the weapons are very light and thus have a much lower impact damage. These weapons are mostly meant for stabbing and slashing. Not beating an opponent into submission. Due to the size of these blades as well, they have a very short reach. Compared to other swords such as Thorne, Lightsabers, or other full fledged swords, these weapons are small, and thus require the person to be much closer to us.
  • Double or Nothing: The design of these weapons are to be more stealth, or very close combat. Thus, to prevent having extra weight, or other obstructions, there are no guards on the weapon. Glancing blows can slide down the blade and still injure the wielder's hands, and the design of the blades requires for the user to be aggressive when fighting to prevent the use of blocking with them. Added with the smaller length, lighter weight, blocking with these weapons, or parrying without proper practice and training could cause the wearer to be injured or otherwise put into a very bad situation.
DESCRIPTION
Created for the use of an agile, and delicate fighter, these blades are of exquisite design. Forged for the specific use and request of Theodora Arwyn for the caretaker of her daughter. Due to his limited training in using various knives from the House Kitchen as weapons, and as a need to defend himself in an otherwise perilous galaxy, these were given life.

Crafted out of songsteel much like other Royal weapons of the House of Arwyn, as well as given an extra addition to prevent it's theft, a poisonus plant from the planet was invested into the wood of the handles. Thus anyone who is not priviy to this information will suffer a rather strange fate. First feeling an itching upon the hands, it acts much like a rash. Growing over time, and the oils from the victims skin also spread this poison further along the skins surface to cause more rashes across the body. While it is rather painful after some time, there are the downsides of the weapons being used with gloves and anyone with an immunity to them won't feel this.

Gifted to Shaun by Roella's mother to protect her daughter, and allow the young man to defend himself, these weapons are his best, last chance to fight anything that should come in his path, and upon their quest.

The wood is not legacy canon, however the planet upon which I am mentioning it is. The wood acts like your run of the mill Poison Ivy/oak.

I also mention in the strengths that poisons are invested into the wood grips themselves. Not that the wood actually does this.

I mention the use of wood from the planet as I doubt you would see that kind of particular wood on say, Kashyyyk. If I am required to provide more clarification that the wood itself is not the source of this, I will.
