The Coronet slipped into spacedock on one of Phu's many stations, high above the arc of the planet, and Ember took it upon himself to have a talk with his captive. Ovmar was suspended in one of them force field things; Thrax was off doing something with his hammer; Kitt Solo was, presumably, on her way, or Ember would be irked. Ember pulled up a chair beside the rotating, flotating, bloviating Sith Lord.

"So we're clear, right, on the 'not trying to mind-trick your way out of this before Ember and Thrax get paid' bit. You've come quietly, but a man does stupid things at the last second."

‘Quite.’ I replied after a moment of thought. ‘Have you ever considered a different occupation, Rekali? Or perhaps specializing in the capture of old derelicts, if memory serves right… I had paid around a hundred million for that one Sienar capital ship you brought to me.’

'Seems far more profitable.'

"Just docked over Phu. Seems the one who's paying for you is another local high mucketymuck. Name of Kitt Solo. If Fringe wants Fringe pinned down, I've got no objection to being the pin."

"Solo?" It was the first time the Sith Lord linked the last name of this... Tahira person to Kitt of the Fringe. "Peculiar. I wonder if the High Council realizes what this girl is doing."

"No idea what you are referring to. Ain't gonna pretend my hands are clean- skirmishes and wars with the Fringe have bloodied 'em plenty, but I have no clue what Solo wants from me."

Ovmar snorted again. 'Hopefully we ain't gonna be sitting here long, I might even start to like ya.'

'You taking jobs after this one is done?'

"Nah, with this seventy-five grand I can retire and give up this life of crime. Of course I'll be working after this. Man can't retire at fifty five anymore.". He snorted. " Might even work for you if you've got a decent privateer offer on the table."

"If this is family trouble I ain't sure how reasonable Solo's gonna be, or if I will be able to get away at all. I will pay double what she wanted for my head, if you spring me out- we can talk extended employment after this charade is over."

"You're a slippery cuss. I've got no doubt you'll land on your feet.". He shook his head. " wasn't just window dressing, what I told you before. Ovmar tried to shrug, difficult while being suspended in the air. ‘We will see. You missed a show before you waltzed in- what do you know ‘bout Subach Innes and Ri'ess Regal Drives?’

"I've had to track Savan's White Current brats all over civilized space. Apart from that, nothing. I own an RRDI chaingun."

‘Savan managed to piss off Arceneau today and she’s looking for blood. Personally… I can’t ever not take an opportunity to throw a hit at that particular Sith Lady.’ Ovmar shrugged. ‘I will pay plenty for any interference in her business, but we can hash out details later.’

"Between you and me, I've taken in just about any kind of bounty. I've even taken in Jedi. But as targets, Sith have a special place in my heart. Sith Masters with big nasty assets and big nasty prices on their heads are especially special. This ship may look like a repurposed luxury yacht, but it's got higher tracking speed than just about anything - it's built for dogfighting with big capital ships. I've been itching to give it a shot, for the right target and the right price."
