SETTING INFORMATION
- City Name: Grila
- Classification: Mining City
- Location: Lonesome
- Affiliation: The Vicks
- Demographics: Your normal scramble of Outer Rim and Wild Space denizens with a larger than normal Twon Ketee population who mostly work in the mines. Indentured servants make up about a third of the population as well. A surprising amount of droids are in town as another source of labor be it for running food stalls, cantinas, small business, or even in the mine itself.
- Wealth: Medium - The pay here is better than one would expect from a mining town run by a B-tier Mercenary Gang like the Vicks. The wealth isn't evenly distributed either, with most of the high rollers actually being Mercenaries who either run with the Vicks or are contracted out by the Vicks to protect their investment, the lumni-spice mine just outside of the domed city.
- Stability: Medium - Plenty of mercs and plenty of Vicks to keep the would be "revolutionaries" in check.
- Description: Overlooked by a tall plateau, Grila was one of the rougher mining towns on Lonesome. Run by the Vicks, a decidedly B-tier Mercenary Gang from the Outer Rim, Grila was given the nickname "Vick Town" by the residents of Lonesome. The city was right on the edge of a pretty sizeable lumni-spice mine and a tram ran miners and other workers to the mine every hour on the hour. A single, small, spaceport was nestled in the center of town and was taxed heavily. It also acted as the main hub of Vick activity with most of the Vick bigwigs of the area living in the spaceport's luxury apartments with state of the art environmental seals and atmospheric processors should the dome be compromised. The dome itself was also one of the best kept domes on the planet which made Vick Town a popular place for young, naive miners and seasoned miners alike to gather. It might not have been the safest town with the Vicks able to do almost whatever they wanted around town, but it also wasn't a bad place to start a family as the air quality kept infants from developing respiratory issues. One could walk around Grila without a face mask, but most kept one on them just in case the dome's systems shut down, which could happen out of the blue due to cold. The dome had great atmospheric processors but poor environmental seals. The Vicks thought that as long as they could breathe things would be fine, but time and time again the lax environmental seals have caused the cold to freeze and disable atmospheric processors in the dome.

SECURITY
Medium: The Vicks patrol heavily around the Big Sink, Vick Port, and the surrounding neighborhoods. However as you get farther and farther from the city center local miner gangs and swindlers run amok and there is less security in general.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Founded sometime between 830 835 ABY by some upstart gang, Grila was originally a mining town with little regulation and was completely wild. The corrupt group who "owned" the min built the original city as cheap as possible and pulled in a stupid amount of credits. They also stupidly kept the credits on-world. When the Vicks came to town the powerful Mercenary Gang plowed through the barely paid security force and took over the city and robbed the owners of the credits the foolishly left on-world. They rebuilt the center of the city and refurbed the dome, cementing themselves as the rulers of Grila. Part of the original "Spice Rush" on Lonesome, Grila was located near a respectably large spice mine. The Vicks ran it for a time almost entirely off of the Twon Ketee labor that was left behind by the old owners. Suprisingly, or maybe unsuprisingly, they didn't rise up or defend themselves, they just continued on as if nothing had changed. Eventually the Vicks began hiring outside work and the city grew in population which required a heavier Vick presence in the city and mines. Dubbed Vick Town by the residents of Lonesome, it became one of the Vick's biggest investments and was largely credited for their sudden rise to prominence in the Outer Rim and cemented themselves as a solid B-list Mercenary Gang despite larger groups like "The Family", "Nadir", and "Helix Syndicate" also having a presence in the Outer Rim and likely on Lonesome as well.
