BIOGRAPHY:
(Brief Bio - to be fleshed out)

Born a scion of the high ranking House Vhirr of the Ascendancy, eldest Grandchild to Vhirr’oban’anch, Governer of The Redoubt region and member of the Chiss Parliament. Even amongst the Chiss House Vhirr are considered traditionalists, the predominant politics of Vhirr are isolationism, and conservative values of law and order, and a strong focus on militarism and defence.

As children of House Vhirr, tradition dictated that both she and her closest brother Barel attend military academy, and to serve in the CEDF. Bella is noted for her resolve and grasp of tactical concepts, as well as for her volatility and competitive nature. Barel was, if anything, more aggressive and competitive than his sister.

As early teens (Chiss early adulthood) they take positions aboard a vessel, the Sentinel under command of a distant cousin.

In their mid-teens, Bella is proposed to by a fellow officer - of middling status - which she rejects and dismisses. Eventually, his persistence leads to the officer, now her junior, breaking regulations. Bella has him disciplined.

Surprisingly to the siblings, Bella is transferred to the less prestigious vessel, the Ardent. Her uncle explains that strings have been pulled politically to remove her following her actions toward her suitor, who apparently had friends in higher places than she had realised.

Bella performs admirably in her new post. Nepotism, dedication and genuine aptitude bring a series of timely promotions.
Eventually, despite political manoeuvres from rival houses, Bella attained a command position as XO aboard the frigate Cobalt Sentry. When the captain of the Sentry was later court-martialed for cowardice and disobeying an order Bella found herself temporarily elevated to overall command.

The temporary command was made permanent sometime later. Continued success saw Bella taking command of the Sentinel, ahead of her brother who then acted as her XO. Barel was displeased to be overlooked, though he cared deeply for Bella.

To appease Barel’s injured pride he was soon promoted to command of his own ship in Bella’s strikegroup.
When patrolling the ascendancy’s much-reduced borders Bella’s strikegroup were dispatched to investigate a series of recent disappearances near to the Makatak star system, On arrival, they encountered hostile vessels which engaged almost immediately. The vessels were identified as Killik Nest ships and the outnumbered strikegroup was forced to make a fighting retreat from the system, Barel’s ship moved in for a close engagement despite Bella’s orders, his vessel was soon overwhelmed and all contact was lost shortly after, the crew are all considered killed in action.

The young captain took her brother’s death extremely poorly, what followed was several years of active conflict in a containing action to suppress any advancement of the Killik menace whilst Chiss intelligence worked to investigate the root of the infestation and the extent to which the threat had grown

Bella was absent as the battle for Csilla was going on; Despite her sense of duty and honour, she remained out of contact to avoid
supporting the "legitimate" government (the one aligned with TJE initially) who would have sent orders requesting her fleets return.
Finally, fresh ships arrived to relieve the fleet. The new arrivals carried news of the uprising and liberation of Csilla. Despite her urge to continue the fight, Bella was aware of the needs of her crews and so rotated back to Csilla for debriefing.
